Won't work and no troubleshooting available

Have only had this DVD player for about a year. Worked great in the beginning, now won't work at all (won't read discs -- just get an error message -- even with discs we've played before). No information online about how to troubleshoot. FAQ is only two questions and no help. Can't find any additional information to help. Basically, this is a short-term disposable DVD player -- disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this to have in motorhome so we could play movies. So far we have used it 2 nights watching 2 movies each night. Worked great!
