I just got this DVD player. I needed something simple to play. This filled the bill perfectly. It has a great quality picture and my wife couldn't be happier.

I bought this DVD player to replace one I was using that kept freezing. So far, so good. We use our DVD player daily instead of cable. Hoping it will hold up long term. Really like that is has an open/close button on the remote. Remote buttons are really small.

Overall for the value it's okay. Its mainly the sound quality, which is to me the most important part, that is a disappointment. It has all the features I was looking for. So for the price it works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
