Great Simple bottle with Nipple options

I was excited to try this bottle for my breastfed baby who takes 2 bottles a day, but unfortunately she wouldn’t take it. I love that they have several flow options for the nipples and very few parts. The bottle is comfortable to hold and fits in my bottle warmer. It was also extremely easy to clean (an huge perk) and I loved the wider shape of the nipple and bottle. However, did not work for us!

Pleasantly surprised by the nipple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this bottle as a part of the stellar testing panel I was a little skeptical of the nipple shape. We combo feed (breast and bottle) and my baby is already kind of gassy. I find that the trend of “breast shaped” bottles and nipples often result in a shallow latch with extra air gulping because the bottle nipples are not as soft and pliable as the breast is. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how deep of a latch my little guy was able to get with this bottle and I didn’t hear any signs that he was taking in extra air or struggling to latch properly. I only took away one star because I do need to help him flange his lip every time with this nipple shape.
As far as the bottle itself, I almost always prefer a large bottle even when feeding smaller amounts because I find them easier to hold when multi tasking (hello mom life) and I can use it for longer. The pieces are simple and easy to clean and fit well into my bottle warmer and sterilizer. The anti-colic air vent is simple but seems to do the trick. Overall a good bottle choice!

Great for combination feeding

I breast and bottle feed, and these seemed to really appeal to my daughter, who is currently seven months old). The flow of the size 3 and 4 nipples is perfect for her, and we are able to pace feedings. I appreciate that they're easy to clean.

Baby took this bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 month old baby boy is exclusively breastfed. We had tried other bottles by other brands but they didn’t work- he wouldn’t take them. The Stellar product testing panel sent me these Avent natural response bottles and I was eager to try them out. So when I had to go to a conference, I filled these bottles and wished for the best. My husband said he took them after fussing for a little bit but he finished all the milk! It is a relief that we finally have bottles he will take. He grasps the nipple in a form that looks like he’s breastfeeding which is why I think he takes it. My husband also like the fact that the bottle doesn’t leak - he said he shook it and nothing came out. Plus they were easy to clean and dried very quickly.
I’ve recommended this bottle to other moms who are struggling to find bottles that their baby will take.

Best bottle design but horrible nipple flow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With my second born, it has been and continues to be a struggle to detach her from my breast. Unlike my first born who preferred bottles over breastfeeding, I cannot find a bottle that my second one will take - either the rate is too fast that overwhelms her and she chokes, or in this case, the nipple for this Avent Natural Bottle is too slow! my daughter’s suck is pretty strong since she is primarily breastfed, and she sucked and sucked initially I think waiting for a “let down”, but since the flow continued to be slow, she got frustrated and got so mad she just cried and cried. She didn’t get a good feed in until couple hrs later since she fell asleep after all that crying.
I wish the bottle worked out for us since I really like the design of the bottle! It’s designed so that there are no leaks whatsoever. Even when you tip the bottle upside down, nothing will drip out of the nipple, unless it is sucked on. So if you accidentally knock the bottle down, you don’t have to worry about it spilling all over the floor. Also, these are easier to clean with way less parts to wash compared to other competitive brands on the market. And lastly, If you have a spectra pump you will love these even more since they have the same mouth as the spectra bottles and will attach directly to your pump!

Latches to the bottle like the breast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were given the chance to try this bottle from the Stellar Product Testing program. Up until this point we had only used the standard bottle and nipple (not wide mouth) so I wasn't too sure if she would take to this bottle or not. I thought the shape of this nipple would help her latch better, as she's both breast and bottle fed, and tends to have leakage out of the corners of her mouth when using a standard nipple. Surprisingly she took to this bottle immediately and no leakage! She latches as though she's breastfeeding. It also helps that there aren't a ton of parts and with the wide opening these bottles are easy to clean.

Good for breastfed babies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 4th baby and each of my children have had no issue with the Avent brand bottles. After trialing many bottles over the years I highly suggest one like this with the wide neck as it makes is SO much easier to clean with a bottle brush. The wide opening doesnt catch the brush causing all the water to spray up onto your face. The paced feeding was nice so she wasn’t gulping. See photo- usually if you turn a bottle upside down the liquid dribbles out. This doesnt unless prompted by the baby. We do both breast and bottle feed with no issue.
In addition, these bottles are widely available, just in case you are out of town and need to pick up more. This product was provided by stellar panel however the review is my own.
