Great bottles
on April 15, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bottles are great and I wish I had them from the start! The ergonomic shape is a wonderful design due to the dimples on the sides making the bottle super comfortable to hold (and grip when baby decides to swat it away!). The bottles are super easy to wash and assemble, the cap holds firmly to the bottle so it doesn't pop off during outings. With that - if the assembled nipple with the cap is off the bottle - I was left struggling to get the cap off, I needed leverage from the bottle to remove the cap. The wide nipple was very hard for my little one to use, it took her a lot of effort to get even an ounce. Maybe if we started using this bottle from the beginning, it would have been easier for her. Overall I highly recommend this bottle! I was given this baby bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Love that baby controls the flow with this bottle
on April 15, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I had known about these bottles when my baby had just been born! I’m a mom of 2 and my youngest is currently 7 months old. He was exclusively breastfed until we added solid foods, but we use a bottle 2-3x a week for convenience purposes. I was given this baby bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was excited about the “natural response nipple” as it doesn’t drip milk and is therefore more like the breast for feeding. Unfortunately, because my baby is now used to other bottles with much faster flow and a nipple that isn’t “responsive” (as in, it just pours milk out when you hold it up), this bottle was frustrating for him to use, even with Natural Response level 4 flow nipple. *However*, I genuinely look forward to using these with a future baby when I can use them from the very beginning, as I imagine they would make the breast to bottle back-and-forth a really easy transition because of the responsive flow nipples on these bottles. When you hold the bottles upside down, nothing drips out, so the baby truly has full control on the flow when drinking. With both of my babies it was sometimes hard for them to get the hang of how to drink a bottle in the beginning since they usually are not “self-paced” but these bottles would change that & I can see it being very helpful to prevent baby getting too much milk too quickly.
As far as the design of the bottle goes, overall it is easy to hold and I really like the wider nipple shape. The bottle is easy to disassemble, clean & reassemble with only 4 pieces, including the bottle cap. My husband said the bottle cap was hard to remove, which can be true if the top isn’t on the bottle and if you don’t put your thumb on the small indention on the cap intended to help you leverage the top off. However I’d rather it be a little tight than too loose!
I also really liked that I could pump directly into these bottles because they attached to the breast pump I use. This made it easy because after pumping I could put the top on the bottle and it was ready to go! The only small downside to this is that there is a lip on the top of the bottle just beneath the neck that keeps the last few drops of milk from coming out. In the big picture, this isn’t a huge deal but sometimes, especially in the early newborn days, every drop of pumped breast milk can feel like liquid gold!
Overall, I really like these bottles and I can’t wait to use them from the start with our next child!

Way different than the other Philips Avent N
on April 15, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bottles are great but the nipples are out of this world! I was sent this set to test as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I can easily say my breastfed baby likes these natural response nipples much better than the original Philip's Avent Natural nipples. They changed something for him because before he would only take about an ounce at a time. Now he will take at least 4 in one sitting.

Overall good bottle and nipple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the new bottle and nipple design we were given from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try. We don’t use bottles all the time but the little we do this set worked well. I was curious to see how our mainly breastfed baby would react to the design but he took it well. They seem very durable and are easy to clean which is something I always look for to avoid mold growth. The flow seemed fine for my 9month old. Good value for the price.

Updates to a Tried and True
on April 15, 2022
Posted by: Anstevens
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the original version of this bottle with my first a few years ago, so I was excited to see that there were updates and improvements when I received this product as part of the Stellar Testing Panel. I already knew it was great for going back and forth from breast to bottle with its nipple shape, and that the thickness of the silicone could still withstand some munching from teething.
Overall, the bottle is great. The wide mouth, shape, and easy assembly make it the perfect every day bottle—we use it when dad is feeding, when we are on the go and need to feed in the car, and for daycare. It heats well with all bottle warmers, and it is plastic, so no issues with daycare accepting it. The shape makes it easy for my petite 6-7 month old to hold (peep the picture daycare sent—so cute!). It looks like the logo, font, and coloration of the markings of the bottle were also recently updated, giving it more of a sleek look that I gravitated towards. The cap also has some holes for ventilation this time, which is nice so that it didn’t get humid/muggy around the cap when the nipple is rinsed and cap is thrown on post feed. The entire bottle is super easy to clean, and I haven’t had any issues with milk film.
The main change/improvement they made to this bottle was to the nipple. They added a valve to integrate the anti colic feature—there was an attachment on a different avent bottle for this in the past, but not as good as a nipple in my opinion. We love this update, as it ends up with much less spit up and easier burps. They also improved the nipple so water does not leak out unless baby is actively sucking. I mean NOTHING comes out. I’ve washed it quite a few times and took a picture of it full of water and upside down—not even the slightest drip. This is GREAT when the bottle gets knocked around or falls over in diaper bag or on the floor, as you aren’t losing precious liquid gold (or formula). The old nipples used to leak a bit once you got to a size 1 or 2, but the nipple I photographed is a 5.
Which gets me to the only reason I gave this less than 5 stars. The flow with all of these great improvements definitely is a bit slower than what the company notes. My daughter got frustrated with the size 3 and size 4 nipples when using those sizes with the recommended age. The flow was just not fast enough. Now that we are using size 5, she is perfectly content. I would recommend grabbing a few nipples of each size when getting this bottle, so you can find what works best for your little one!

Baby loves these
on April 15, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving these bottles as part of the stellar review panel I was excited to try them out. We have tried a variety of bottle brands in the past looking for he right flow for my little one. After using these bottles for a few weeks we will never go back. My son seems to drink at a much more manageable pace with these bottles and he has stopped all the spitting up he was doing. I think he likes the shape of the wider nipple and he is able to control the flow much better. These bottles are so easy to use and easy to clean! There aren’t a million prices to clean like many other bottles and I love the time it saves me. I would 100% recommend these to anyone looking for the perfect bottles for their baby.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby bottle set.
My baby is EBF but there are times when I have my hubby feed him and he loved this bottle. It was easy to assemble, clean and sanitize as well which is a major plus for me.
