Phillips Avent Natural Baby Bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the shape of this bottle. My baby is just starting to figure out how to hold her own bottle and the wide shape allows for her to hold this bottle relatively easily. This bottle seems to be made of high quality materials and both the bottle and nipple held up well through multiple washes in the dishwasher. So far we have had no leaks with this bottle. My only complaint about the bottle design is that the cap is a little difficult to snap off.
As for the nipple, the flow on the provided size (size 3) was a little slower than my baby is used to, but she did well with it. She is 6 months old and combo fed breastmilk and bottles. This flow level would probably work best for a breastfed baby between 4-6 months old. The shape of the nipple is a bit different than we have used previously. The base is pretty wide, which made it difficult for my baby to get a really good latch. This led to milk spilling out of the sides of her mouth. If your baby is used to wide neck bottles I would not imagine this to be an issue.
Overall, I think this is a nice bottle, especially for breastfed babies. It was easy to clean, did not leak and had a nice, slow flow.

Perfect fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this bottle! The measurements are accurate and it is the perfect size and hold for my petite 6 month old. Also super easy to clean and wide top allows easy pouring of formula powder. I dropped one star because the bottle makes a lot of noise after drinking due to the trapped air.

Great bottle

This bottle has significantly improved my baby’s feedings. I’ve tried multiple bottles for her and they all resulted in milk spillage, choking, and complete fussiness. All of that has improved since using this bottle! I was worried the nipple would be an issue since it appears a little long but she took it with no hesitation. The shape of the bottle is great helps when holding to feed. And it cleans and assembles easily! I’ll def purchase more and recommend to all Mommas!

Worked like a charm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My breastfed baby has been a bit challenging when it comes to feeding and I was a bit nervous that trying out a bottle could halt the progress we had already made in his few short weeks of life. After receiving this bottle to try out as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was initially really pleased with the shape of it. The wide shape looked more breast-like to me, and once we tried it, my little one took to it with ease. The slow flow and responsive tip was great for him and I think has made the transition back and forth between breast and bottle much smoother. I am primarily breast feeding, but it is important that I have the option to use a bottle when needed (plus, I like to offer an extra ounce or two of expressed milk in a bottle after nursing before bed to make sure his belly is extra full for a good nights sleep!). The bottle is easy to assemble and quick to clean and easy to hold which is a must for a mom of 4! Ultimately, I’ve been really pleased with this bottle and will continue to use it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this bottle to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel but I have been a long time Avent baby product user since 2007! It's always been my go-to brand. This new Natural Response nipple is amazing. I've been using the level 1 nipples in the previous styles so I was very skeptical of using the level 3 with my 9 month old. We've dealt with different feeding issues since he was in the NICU and have needed to be very precise in what flow of nipples to use to prevent him from taking in too much at once. This size 3 is perfect! Absolutely zero problems. He doesn't spit up and it goes at his own pace. It flows according to your baby's own personal suck, hence the name Natural Response. I love the placement of the valve. I can clearly see it, which makes it easy when cleaning and prepping the bottle to make sure it's clear or just to see that it's functioning properly. I thought the valve might get clogged up with gunk, like some other brands of bottles I have used, but it doesn't. Using a simple swipe of a bottle brush does the job and it's clean without any added effort. This is why Avent is one of my favorites, because of how easy they are to clean. There aren't unnecessary added crevices that can harbor hidden bacteria and they are so easy to clean and sanitize which saves precious time which you don't have a lot of when caring for a little one. I love the 9oz size of this bottle. This one will last through the whole time your baby is growing, with room to spare. Some bottles only go up to 6-8 oz and as baby starts to grow and take in more per feeding, I don't like to max out the limit on the bottle. I personally like there to be some extra room at the top so it's not at max capacity and able to mix up well, either for the fats in the breastmilk or the powder for the formula. I can't rave about Avent enough. I like the shape of the nipple. It helps open baby's mouth into a great position that seems to mimic the same lip placement as the lactation consultants have taught me to strive for when latching baby on to the breast. It helps keep that same form when doing a feeding from a bottle so baby doesn't have to unlearn anything. I absolutely recommend this.

Good bottle but large

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bottles worked pretty well for us, I like how sleek they are. The wide neck and the minimal amount of pieces make them really easy to clean. My baby didn’t have any issue with using these and did well with the nipple. One thing that I didn’t like was how big the bottle is - I’m not sure why a bottle aimed toward breastfed babies would need to be 9 ounces.

BEST AVENT BOTTLE

When I received the Philips avent bottle size 3 nipple my baby took the whole bottle no struggle no problem! It’s a miracle!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
