A solid baby bottle just not our favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Phillips Avent Natural Baby Bottle has a sleek design, easy to clean parts, and easy to read measurement lines so you know how much is in the bottle. I think this last feature is a selling point because not all bottles are easy to read. I also like that it is available in glass as opposed to plastic.
Some bottles exacerbate my son's reflux and cause him to choke, gag, or give him stomach pains, but we didn't have any of these issues with the Avent. I think this has to do with the ability for baby to control the flow rate easily. The nipple shape just isn't my son's favorite; it confused him a bit at first.
Overall, I think the Avent natural baby bottle is a solid bottle to own, but my son is accustomed to a different nipple shape, so I won't likely buy more of them.

Bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of this bottle is exactly what I was looking for. My daughter was nursed until 21 months, so I love that the nipple on this bottle mimics the breast. She is able to control the flow easily on her own so that milk doesn’t drip. It is convenient to be able to change the size of the nipple easily without buying a whole new bottle as my baby grows. It is also very easy to clean the bottle because of the wider opening and the wider nipple. I received this product as part of the stellar product testing panel.

Wish I Got This Sooner

We have tried numerous other bottle brands of all shapes and sizes. My nine month old had no issue adjusting to a new bottle and was easily able to hold it. I also like that they are easy to clean and put back together. I wish I would have had these for my other two kids!

The perfect bottle for breastfed babies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is 6 months old, she is mainly breastfed but it’s been so important for her to learn to use a bottle when I’m not around. It was effortless for her to latch onto the Natural Response nipple which is soft and wide, the familiar shape helped her transitioned well from breastfeeding to drinking with the bottle.
The ergonomic design of the bottle made it easy for us (including my daughter) to hold. The large opening made it super simple to clean and reassemble. Being originally from the UK I also love that it has measurements in both fl oz and ml-cc!
One thing that stands out, compared to other bottles, is the no drip tip. It is so helpful, and I’m so thankful to have less mess to clean up! She’s starting to be more independent and we were able to let her explore the bottle without it leaking everywhere, like when she was trying to get the bottle in her mouth (or when she was holding it upside down…).
My breastfed daughter was able to drink, swallow and breath naturally. I think as she is not using bottles all the time, this flow was perfect for her but I don’t know if it would be fast enough for a baby who only drinks from bottles. Even if this was the case it’s very easy to switch out for a variety of different nipple flows!
As a footnote, I also love that the parts are clear and white as it fits in with our aesthetics!
I would recommend these bottles for any breastfed babies needing to take a bottle!

Great go to bottle

I was a little nervous trying a new bottle and nipple but really liked the wide shape and responsive tip. But more importantly, our baby did. He’s 6weeks old and both breast and bottle fed. I found it helped control the pace of milk flow and helped slow his drinking down. Our son is very gassy and I feel like this bottle with the nipple helped a lot. He needs a slower flow and didn’t get frustrated at all. The bottle and nipple was easy to clean and put back together. The ergonomic shape made it easy to hold as well.

Overall good bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this bottle for free through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My 9-month-old breastfed baby has tried a few other bottles and already has one from another brand that he really likes. He prefers a wider base, which this Avent bottle has. He took this bottle well without any issues, seemed to like it as much as his go-to. I liked the simplicity of assembly and washing, with only three parts and the wide opening. The bottle came with a level 3 nipple which I actually never used. The level 2 nipple that I chose based on the description worked fine, but was maybe just a touch faster than the slow flow one he usually uses. I am curious to compare it to the level 1, but not enough to bother ordering it. I question whether the higher level nipples would work well for paced feeds with a breastfeeding baby, but I appreciate the multiple options and ability to customize. As advertised the nipple did not drip, which is an absolute requirement for me. My baby doesn't have any current issues with colic or reflux so I can't comment on whether this bottle makes any difference with that. The amount of gas introduced seems to be no worse than any other bottle based on his burps after feeding. The only negative I would identify for this bottle itself is that it is too big, especially for a breastfed baby, which this seems to be targeting. My baby (like most who exclusively breastfeed) never takes more than 5 oz at a time, usually 3-4. A bottle this large is overly bulky, wastes milk with a larger interior surface area for milk to cling to, and encourages overfeeding. I would never buy a 9 oz bottle (or 11, which they also make!), and frankly, as a pediatrician and lactation specialist, I wish manufacturers would not sell bottles larger than 6 oz for the above reasons. No shaming intended for parents who use larger bottles for whatever reason, only my personal and professional opinion. So if I were to buy this line of bottle for myself or as a gift, I would stick with the 4 oz version that comes with the level 2 nipple (maybe adding on a level 1 to try out). That combination I would happily recommend because it is overall a good bottle!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the overall design of the bottle. Cleaning/ taking apart the bottle and pieces were super easy. Wide shape is definitely super helpful but probably more suitable for younger babies ( 1/2 months) My babies are 3.5 months old and the pace was good but at this point they are moving on to level two nipple (faster flow).I only wish the bottle itself came in a bigger size as they are eating over 5 ounces at this point. Shout out to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby bottle.

A dream come true

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Phillips Advent Natural Response 9oz bottles as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I cannot say enough about these bottles. My baby girl is breast fed and uses bottles while at daycare fulltime. She struggled with gas and I struggled with spills transporting the bottles to and from. These bottles work so well for my girl. She goes back and forth from breast to bottle with ease and with the responsive tip she is able to control her pace better which has practically eliminated her gas issues. These bottles will not leak which means no more crying over spilt milk for momma! With only three pieces, These bottles are extremely easy to wash too! They have been a game changer, I only wish we could have discovered them before our third baby!
