I hesitated for well over a year before buying this blender because I wasn't sure if it would be worth it, but this machine has far exceeded my expectations. I do not have much counter space so I store my Vitamix in a cupboard when not in use, and I was very pleased to discover it is not at all too heavy or bulky to regularly haul out to use at a moment's notice. I now use my Vitamix 5200 2-3 times per week for soups, sauces, dips, dressings, smoothies, juices, and desserts. I appreciate the simple mechanics of the 5200's operations and the ease of cleaning--this machine literally cleans itself. It is indeed loud, but I find it no louder than other mixers/blenders I have owned. The results are definitely worth it.

I bought my vitamix a few months ago and use it almost daily. My son has a feeding tube and for the first time in four years I can give him foods, such as vegetables, through his tube. He has never eaten them orally so the vitamix has pretty much changed our life! We are so pleased and happy with it.
