This is the 4th Vitamin 5200 I have purchased and it is different than the 1st 3. The motor is not as strong and it does not blend as well. I love Vitamix and need to contact customer service because this does not seem normal for the quality I have known them to have.

I use a blender almost daily and have for probably the last 30 or 40 years. It is a kitchen essential for me. I have had my Vitamix 5200 for several months now and can't rave about it enough! It works beautifully, is quiet, powerful, and easy to clean. It fits well on the counter right under the upper cupboard next to the sink, so it is always handy and doesn't need to be pulled from a cupboard. Our daily breakfast smoothies come out silky smooth in a matter of seconds, and I have yet to find anything it can't handle effortlessly. I highly recommend this wonderful blender. Furthermore, it is very highly rated for durability and ease of use by my consumer bible - Consumer Reports. I couldn't ask for more!

Great Blender with some room for improvement

I love my Vitamix, because it is so powerful, however — if I flip the switch to high speed, Sometimes it moves on the counter. It also has a hard time with thicker smoothies. That said, with enough water and without switching to the high speed, it does a great job. I do wish these problems could be fixed however, especially for the price.

I heard so much about the Vitamix but never owned one. When my blender stopped working I reviewed my needs and decided to get a blender and not a food processor. I spoke to several people who owned one and they rave about it. I read reviewed (both pro and con) and also looked at You tube videos and decided this was the one for me. I am so happy with my decision - its easy to use, works well and clean up is easy. I will be ordering more parts so I can use it for many more applications.
