I bought this model about two months ago and I am very pleased with it. I have an older version still working, but decided to get a newer one (red color) for my home and take the older one to work. I make a lot of smoothies and now I can even make soups, drinks, and more!

My friend has owned a Vitamix for about 10 years and I've had her smoothies, soups and blended beverages. I loved them, but felt the Vitamix was out of my price range. For a while I used a juicer; but eventually got really tired of the time it took to prepare the ingredients and clean the juicer afterward. So I made the investment in the Vitamix and I'm so glad I did. I have a smoothie almost everyday and I absolutely love the ease and convenience of clean-up; this powerful blender makes totally palatable drinks that are practically effortless to prepare. I've also tried a few soup recipes and enjoy them very much. I highly recommend the Vitamix.

My daughter and two daughters-in-law have Vitamixes. One uses hers almost exclusively to make smoothies, while another uses the Vitamix nearly everyday for various reasons, e.g., making hummus, a light sorbet for dessert, soup (!), pesto, etc. I was able to see firsthand how useful it was, and, when I had the opportunity to get an incredible deal, I jumped on it! Because of an injury, I have not been able to use my own yet, but I am nearly better, and looking forward to it. In the meantime, I have read all the literature that came with it, and the Vitamix story in the free cookbook. I will update with pictures and/or video when I have used my own.

I bought my Vitamix about a month ago after my first Vitamix was starting to wear down (which I purchased 20 years ago); the container cracked and the motor was starting to get sluggish. I have not been kind to my previous blender and used it almost everyday, lent it to friends for parties, etc. I didn't even consider replacing it with any other blender! I love my new Vitamix, I've used it to make smoothies, salsa's, margarita's, guacamole, and much more! It's been great. Blends evenly and takes a lot of the chopping and cutting out of the picture. Just dump it in ... the blender can take it! I'm a fan for life and look forward to the next 20 years with my Vitamix.
