We had the 5100 for 16 years and it finally was slowing down so we took it to the cabin and bought the 5200 for home. Use it almost everyday and it is true work horse. Greatest blender ever!!!

Amazing for 18 years

I've had this Vitamix for 18 years and have used it almost every day and it's worked great! Only now do I have to replace the drive socket and the pitcher. It's such a fantastic, durable blender!

Long-term reliability and quality

I have had a 5200 for over a decade, and only decided to replace it with the same exact model after I very carelessly broke off the grounding prong of the plug during a move. It was devastating until I received the replacement in the mail and unboxed the shiny new base, container, and tamper. There was nothing wrong with the motor of the base I replaced, yet the new one sounds and seems to work even smoother. I use this blender for smoothies, soups, ice cream, sauces, dips, spreads, creams, grinding coffee and nut butters, and I can’t imagine life without it.
