[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made the investment and so glad I did. The power and design works for so many different things. Cleaning the pitcher is very easy as well. I am definitely happy with my purchase.
We purchased the Vitamix 5200 after a number of other blenders, not Vitamix, burned out or just simple broke-down. My entire family uses the Vitamix and we absolutely love it. The quality, durability and the smoothies it makes are phenomenal! I would BUY one AGAIN!!
Pros: Durability, Easy to use, Product features, Power

I have owned the 5200, the s series personal blender, AND even the Ascent. My favorite is the 5200. The carafe is narrower and so you can use a smaller amount and still get it to blend super smooth. Since the carafe is also fairly tall, it does have ample room if you wish to make larger amounts. The personal size blender, to be honest, isn't much better than a cheapo nutribullet. The Ascent is nice, and I like the small cups that go on it, as theycare perfect size for making salad dressings for one or two people, or making a batch of some salsa Verde type sauce. But the shape of the carafe on the 5200, makes it ideal for me, since the two main things I use it for are turning frozen fruit into refreshing healthy sorbet, and for making greens heavy smoothies. If you want a blender for super smooth smothies, soups, and sorbets, then this is the best model to get. I have had mine for about 10 years, and I've never had a problem, and I've never had to replace a part.
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Product features, Power
Has worked well for smoothies, a soup and pureed banana peel; is less loud than prior Blendtec. Cleans itself well. Is too tall to fit on refrigerator shelf, but contents transferable to other containers.
Should have bought a Vitamix much sooner. Wasted my money on the blenders I bought over the years before the Vitamix. You get what you pay for.
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Power

A Long Overdue Review!

I purchased my reconditioned Vitamix back in July 2017. My husband and I drink green smoothies 7 days a week. I have used this Vitamix practically every day (sometimes every other day) to it's full capacity (I store extra smoothie in mason jars) and it just keeps on mixing!! My canister is roughed up (I make beet smoothies in the rotation) but everything else about it is fine. It's pretty loud. But it gets the job done!!
Pros: Speed of Service, Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Power
