I used my Vitamix EVERYDAY! For breakfast, I blend a lemon or orange with 4 glasses of water; green smoothie for lunch, and salad dressing for dinner! It blends chia seeds, celery and leafy greens like kale and collards and frozen fruits like bananas, nice and smooth! We are vegans and I am raw vegan and the Vitamix has really enhanced our lifestyle! East to clean too! I wish we purchased it years ago! A standard blender does not compare! At first we were surprised that the container was plastic and not glass but after using it we were impressed and very satisfied! We highly recommend it to people who make green smoothies and dressings! A+!

This is my first Vitamix and it is amazing at smoothies, blending ice, and turning oatmeal into flour. It is a breeze to clean up! I've not challenged it too much yet, but have found that it does not handle small volume very well. And my first attempt at hummus was a struggle as it kept drawing air and I had to continually stop it and use a spatula to scrape the ingredients down into the blades.

Replaced my 25+ machine. It is still working! Passed it along to my daughter to use up. I chose the basic 5200 model as it is the same I’ve had for all these years. The only difference is the soft start and updated look of metal.
I hope to get the same service from my new machine which did many smoothies for our large (10 total) family.

I bought a bright red Vitamix 5200 Standard for my sister, as her husband's health issues required he utilize a 'feeding tube' for some time. The Vitamix 5200 is ideal for mixing healthy foods so necessary at this time -- even some he might otherwise ignore, chuckled my sister! Well, the rest of the family loves the Vitamix because of its easy of use for preparing a variety of delicious dishes everyone loves.
