I bought my Vitamix a couple months ago and think it is better than a cheap blender for most tasks. I would prefer more power for fine textured smoothies and do not like having to buy a seperate container for dry grinding.
Pros: Texture Quality

We transitioned to a WFPB diet about 6 months ago. One of the first things we did was buy the Vitamix 5200. This blender has supported the way we eat and is essential to anyone who is thinking about going VEGAN/WFPB. It does everything from blend flours, make nut butters and cheese. We love our vitamix. Hands down the best appliance I have purchased in the last 10 years.
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Product features, Power

It’s a Gr8 machine, I also have the big 5200. I bought this as a second for work. It’s just not near as powerful or quiet.
I should have picked better ~

Hi there! The 5200 Standard model is built with the same powerful motor that the earlier models had. Our customer service team is happy to assist you with any difficulties you are experiencing with your new machine. This classic model is capable of pulverizing all of the great recipes you remember blending with your first 5200. Please reach out to us at 1-800-848-2649.

I bought my 5200 last week & have made different smoothies everyday. I’ve made hummus & experimented making sorbets, it’s great!

I calculate that I used my reconditioned Vitamix approximately 1300 - 1400 times (including difficult jobs like making peanut butter) before it finally gave out after 8 years of use. It always did what was expected to do, and extremely well. I consider it to have been a very good investment, and plan to buy another.
Pros: Durability, Versatility, Power
