I have fibromyalgia and this shovel makes shoveling alot easier for me. My pain is minimal compared to using regular snow shovels which is a good thing for someone like me.
Works great...hasn’t snowed since I bought it. lol

Needs longer handle options!

The design and idea are great, it worked just fine shoveling the tops off of deep snow drifts but when shoveling snow on the ground, I still had to bend over. The handles are too short for taller guys.
They need to offer the center section of the handle in an extended version, with a longer main tube section and a longer spring-steel handle. This could be installed onto either the 20" or 18" shovels and would raise up both D-handles.
The website can be confusing, as for SHLV01 they list it as a 41.3" handle, while for SHLV20 they list it as a 50" handle... these shovels are the SAME length! The problem is consistency on the web site... SHLV01 has both handle length and assembled length spec available. SHLV20 only has handle length, no assembled length spec. Both use a 41.3" handle, both are 50" assembled length, and both will be too short if you're taller.

Best snow shovel ever.

My brother sent me one for Christmas 7-8 years ago. It's still going strong and we have an 8-14" storm coming in tonight. I am now 70 and still shoveling
Shovel is shorter and scoop is smaller than my other shovel...but with the added handle...the shovel doesn't have to be as big and heavy any more! the snow really does fly off the shovel - love it - and most importantly - my back loves it too!
The action of scooping up and heaving shovels full of snow can be backbreaking work. But with a Snow Joe, the addition of a second handle positioned such that you can put the strength of both arms to your advantage and thus reduce the strain on your back is an improvement that makes great sense. I will never go back to using ordinary snow shovels having used my Snow Joe with the wettest, heaviest snow from an early spring surprise dumping of 10 inches of the stuff. If you need to get extra tossing distance to clear your path there is no other way to go to get the job done quickly. I highly recommend the Snow Joe.

What a difference !! Bought this last week and was able to put it to work yesterday. Assembled with one bolt and very sturdy. Wow! I can fling snow 15 feet without breaking a sweat, or more importantly, my back ! I am a believer. Let the Shovelution begin!
Pros: Great Value, Easy To Use, Accurate Performance, Easy to store, Lightweight, Unique Features, Durable, Great Design, Easy to assemble, Powerful
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dripping colored water - will it stain?!

It does pretty well at being a shovel. However, after leaving it out and then using it on a warmer day, this rust colored water came pouring out of it. I saw the drips in the snow and thought I was bleeding but then I found the source to be the shovel. I am hoping the fluid does not stain the pavers and my clothing. If it is just rust, what does that say about how these fasteners will last the seasons?
