I have the corded version and this is so much more convenient to get my whole yard done without having to mess with a cord. Already had the lawn mower so I figured I'd give this a try. Can safely say I will be converting all my tools to Greenworks!

This thing is a beast. Uses same 80v battery from lawnmower. I ordered optional strap as I knew it would be heavy. Good choice. The 80v battery is amazing. Charges fast and lasts a very long time

I already had the 80V with the chainsaw and needed a new weedwhacker so I opted for the Greenworks model. So far I'm very happy with it. It's very easy to assemble out of the box and it works great. The 80V is probably a lot more than I need, but it's nice to be able to use it multiple times before having to charge again.

I absolutely love my 80v string trimmer. It is the my first Greenworks tool and I can not wait to purchase something else. The battery lasts as long as I do...we need a recharge at the same time! I won't share with my husband he loves to gas powered trimmer but I see the envy in his eyes when mine starts in a flash and off I go with no issues. 5 star all the way

This tool is exactly as described and super powerful. I did not have any issues duing use. Changing the string is easy, there is no need to I take cover off.

Good performance, horrible restring process

While it's running, the unit does a good job of powering through common weed and grasss chores. However, once you run out of line, you have to remove the spool from the bump mechanism and head and they only provide a fully filled replacement spool. It's not as simple as most of the other trimmers out there, which allow you to respool while the cartridge is still attached. This one is borderline infuriating. Hopefully Greenworks will put this dinosaur out to pasture and get with the times. String changes or adds shouldn't require more than 5 seconds, no aligning and holding stuff together like a contortionist.

Unfortunately, we do regret to inform you that older models cannot be updated to this style of the head though.
