I have owned my trimmer 2 years and use it weekly. it feels great runs great and is superior to all others. that being said I also have just worn through the trimmer head today.im here purchasing one now. 2 years a lot of use so i expect any head to wear down. Great tool
I bought this unit after having a great experience with the Greenworks leaf blower (best yard tool ever). But this unit is very big, heavy, and difficult to use unless you're a pro football linebacker. Also, the strings are cut frequently and the unit does not automatically compensate. I do not recommend this unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Cody Parker,
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We're very sorry to hear that some aspects of this design did not meet all your needs as you expected. This is a bump n’ feed unit. The unit must be turned on and you will need to tap the bump knob on the ground to release additional line. Trimmer line of about 1/4" will feed out each time you bump the head. As long the mechanics for the line release are understood and exercised you should have no issues releasing line. We hope this information has been helpful. If you have any further questions or feedback, we would be glad to talk to you more about this. 1-888-909-6757 for our Greenworks customer care team.
I waited a few months to add this trimmer to my Greenworks pro 80V system. My rural property needs a trimmer that can handle heavy brush. On it's test drive with the supplied string I was able to take out a patch where I wanted to plant fruit trees. It handled it great. I need to play with the shoulder strap for the right length (definitely needed).
Bought this trimmer and its fantastic. I went through 2 gas trimmers in the past and your trimmer is The Best trimmer I ever owned. Wish you come out with a battery power broom.
