80V 16" cordless trimmer. STB456 2101202

We bought this 10/22
The battery on this trimmer mounts sideways. It's very heavy and hard to handle without killing your arm. have they redesigned the way the battery mounts? You have to hold the battery end because the tool wants to flip to the heavy side. I see the new ones are STB460. Are these better?
Pros: Environmentally Safe, Powerful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Greenworks STB460 16-inch cordless string trimmer features an attachment capable power head for versatile use, compatible with most gas attachment. Light weight and easier to use, it has a variable speed trigger for power on demand, 14/16-inch cut path, .080 line diameter bump feed and die cast gearbox for durability. Designed for durability and heavy duty jobs equivalent to 26cc gas engine .

I was unable to find a trimmer cap for my 60V model. I decided to upgrade to the 80V model. I never encountered problems with my 60V model so i knew the 80v would be just as reliable. It took all of 5 minutes to unbox. The moment i heard the fan activate while charging the battery i was sold. I have a little under an acre. This model performed effectively and efficiently. Upon completion i still had one bar. It would’ve easily been two but i prolonged the process. I’m impressed and really like Greenworks products. Do yourself a favor, purchase this sooner than later.

I like almost everything about this unit. Works well with my attachments. The only two things I don't care for are that I have a really big yard and I can't trim it all on one charge. If I get a second battery down the road, that won't be a problem. Second, I wish they would design the trigger so that it felt more like a gas trimmer when you pull it instead of having that long delay to get going. You get used to it after a while. Other than that, this thing is super quiet and works great!

The trimmer itself is okay. It does what it is supposed to. My complaint is with the design of the handle. Anytime I need to readjust the handle, I need to go find a phillips screwdriver. It would have been a better design to put a knob to tighten up the handle. Also, this doesn't have variable speed while other competitors offer that feature for similar price range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
