Maybe the best electric trimmer built but with one fatal flaw

It's pretty well built, well balanced. However it's unusable by all but the casual ocassional use because there is a 3-4 second delay between pressing the throttle and the head spinning full speed. This is a prohibitive setup, and makes efficiency and any semblance of productivity all but impossible. If they would fix that ONE problem I would buy THREE of them. I own the 80V mower and 80V Pro Blower and love both of them.

Much preferred over gas trimmer.

This is in response to my second purchase of this item. The first one is running well, but has a carbide saw blade for brush cutting.
What I like:
1. Little noise compared to gas powered
2. No pull to start
3. No gas to mix
4. Sufficient power
5. Easy to use....pop in battery and push the button.
For my usage I cannot see ever going back to a gas powered trimmer.

I am a 35 year design engineer and there are numerous things I see on Greenworks products where a few improvements could make a bid difference in the overall package.
1. The handle needs a quick clamp to quickly adjust for different usages.
2. The switch/handle area needs some ergonomic improvements.
3. I have Scoliosis so relieving any load on my back is better. Greenworks has a vest with a battery holder. I would like to a battery holder to put on at the waist.

So GLAD I have made up my mind to go all battery!! This attachment capability works SUPER with my blower and treesaw.. Lighter, eady to use, and lasts plenty of time for me with the 80v battery...HAPPY AS A CLAM!!

Sturdy Tool to cut off all unwanted bushes

I am very pleasantly surprised with how well this tool worked to clear off my backyard which is inclined at a steep angle. I was able to clear the whole area on one charge. The tool is very light. It is only the 80 battery which adds to its weight but it is still quite manageable, even if you are standing on an incline.
Although this tool worked great for me and I highly recommend it, I would say that 80v is probably not what I needed. Even 40v one may have worked just fine. 40v is significantly cheaper but you will most definitely have less battery power and I don't know how long will its charge last as compare to the 80v one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Blower is great! Battery failed after 4 months!

I love the performance of the blower but the battery Failed after a few months. Now I’m forced to buy another very expensive battery or a new blower. Disappointed as I have other battery powered products and never had this issue.
Rated a 1 star as I can’t use this anymore!
Pros: Powerful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
