The 80V battery is quite heavy so learning how to balance the trimmer while trying to cut evenly takes some time to get used to. The trigger action is a bit different but by the 2nd or 3rd use, I got used it and was able to control the speed pretty much the way I desired. It's a bit heavy for a long work job but for small lawns it's great. My only concern is that it doesn't come with proper instructions on how to put the trimmer together out of the box. When I first started the trimmer, the bottom part fell off and flew out. I had to figure out how to put it back together myself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased the combination of string trimmer and leaf blower for my rental property. Trimmer works fantastic, hopefully when the leaf blower finally comes I’ll have the same ravings.

I decided to switch from gas powered tools to electric and researched all the available options before deciding on Greenworks. I received my string trimmer, charged the battery, and went to work. I was amazed with the power of this tool. I seriously outcut my commercial quality Husqvarna! Immediately ordered a leaf blower and am similarly impressed.

In order to operate this tool, you need to hold two buttons at the same time(as is the same with all trimmers of different brands), but one of the bottons is sort of aiming sideways, and the other is uncomfortably offset. I have long fingers and big hands and its still uncomfortable for me to hold both buttons down at the same time. If not for this design oddity, I would give it 5 stars. I wish the buttons would be aligned better!

80v Trimmer - ran longer than me, but no trigger lock

I had a 4 AH battery from our lawn mower charged and ready to go, so put the trimmer together and put it to work. I was a little dismayed that after 1 hour on 14" setting and lower speed the trimmer was still going strong, and I was getting tired. I increased the speed to setting '2', hoping to run the battery down. At 1.5 hours the trimmer was still going, and I had to put it away.
My biggest complaint is I could not find a trigger lock setting. I definitely would like to have been able to relax the trigger grip - that is the primary reason I had to give up.
