My old trimmer broke down a few weeks ago. I had switched from a battery trimmer years ago to a 2-cycle one. At the time, battery powered yard tools were quite inferior to their gas and oil counterparts. Well, that 2-cycle finally bit the dust.
I went across the street to see if I could borrow my neighbors trimmer to clean up the rest of my yard, as I had a lot to trim. I was apprehensive at first when I saw she had this battery powered trimmer, as I am with a lot of battery powered tools like this, but that apprehension didn't last long.
Once I started using this thing, I was sold.
I manically went behind my house and found a plethora of stuff to cut down, whilst cackling like an idiot, just because I wanted to see what this thing was really capable of.
Once I collected myself and finished cleaning up my yard, I returned the trimmer to my neighbor, thanked her, and promptly went inside and told my spouse I was going to spend some money. I immediately ordered the trimmer.
It's been working like a dream.
In the last few weeks since my trimmer purchase, I purchased some attachments for the trimmer, a chainsaw, & I have a mower en route to my house at this moment.
I'm sold on Greenworks. Well done.

There is plenty of charge to trim my 1/3 acre yard. One suggestion I would make is for the directions to clearly state how much line the bump feed head holds. It is very easy to install new line. Overall, this is a great product.

can't get replacement parts

The part for the spool cover, the bump knob, is in the manual but not listed in Greenworks' parts directory. Waited for over one hour on the phone to get in touch with a representative and finally gave up when nobody picked up. It is a phanatstic tool , when it works, but too expensive when you have to replace the whole tool when just the bump knob is worn out!

I have owned a 40 volt trimmer for some time now and there were many times when I was trimming I would come across heavier brush that the 40 volt could not handle or would take a few passes to cut down ! have a number of your 40 and 80 volt tools of which I am pleased with . I tested a couple of them and tried sending you feedback on how they were working ! I was really happy when I saw your 80 volt trimmer that said ATTACHMENT CAPABLE , thats what peaked my interest the most ! I have gas powered equipment with most of the attachments and was I even happier when I ordered your larger weed eater ,the first thing I did was get my gas attachments and checked to see if they really were compatible with yours ! Was I a Happy camper . I,d take it to my other property and decided to get a second one so I would have one at each location ! You have outdone yourselves ! THANK YOU , A VERY HAPPY GREENWORKS CUSTOMER "DEL"

Excellent power and versatility

Works with my existing Trimmer plus Edger, Blower, and Husq string trimmer attachments that I currently have. Pop in the 2amp and 4amp batteries from my mower and good to go. I was skeptical of the batteries from the start as for tools, they become throw-away after the manufacturers end the old voltage specs. But I can't say how nice it is to use GreenWorks Tools. The string trimmer with my blower attachment is stronger than my existing gas trimmer and no more smelling like gas when I'm done due to ethanol based gas destroying the fuel lines. Makes easy work of fall leaves. Same positive experience with their mower. Excellent products.
