[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Battery dies after maybe 15 minutes, at most, of use in my chainsaw. I assume this is the result of a faulty battery. I've had it for less than two years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Rtjk, Thank you for reaching out to us. The runtime is typically provided on the product page for the unit. The displayed runtime can be based on factors such as cuts, if you are trimming or cutting up larger fallen trees and other variables. Runtime may vary based on the load applied to the battery. For longer runtimes use a larger amp-hour (Ah) battery of the same voltage line. Hope this information helpful. If you require any additional support or have questions regarding a product, we recommend try our Q&A section on product's page or Chat with us direct on our website www.greenworkstools.com.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last battery lasted 8-9 years so I decided to get the same kind again. Charges fast and lasts a long time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned this battery for three days and it’s amazing. It’s wonderful. It’s the best battery I’ve ever had.
Purchased a leaf blower. Satisfied with tool. Somewhat dissatisfied with length of charge on the battery. Seems to last only 10-15 min on full charge. I thought it would last longer.
Pros: Easy to Use, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

Hello Bob56. We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of this battery. The run time varies depending on the tool that it is being used in but also the load acting against the unit while in use. We would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please start a Live chat on www.greenworkstools.com or contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two Problems with the batteries I received:
1) THEY ARE OLD lithium battery 1 made 11/03/21 (past 3 years old) lithium battery 2 made 01/08/22 (One month shy of 3 years old) - My last 5 amp greenworks battery lost over 50% of it power capacity after 6 years from it’s manufacture date. Based on that, already being 3 years old, these new batteries may only last 3 more years.
2) VERY LOW EMERGENCY STATE OF CHARGE Green light flashing: The manual states that if the green light flashes it could be near 10%.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Unhappy1000. Thank you for sharing your expereince. This is a diagnostic charger. The Charger LED Lights will illuminate in specific order to communicate. the current battery status. They are as follows: Blinking Green > Charging Solid Green > Fully Charged Solid Red Over > Temperature A green flashing light indicates that the battery is charging. A solid green light indicates that the battery is fully charged. Flashing red - fault. False Defect Note: When the battery is inserted into the charger, and the status LED flashes, remove the battery from the charger for 1 minute, then reinsert. If the status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, remove the battery pack and unplug the charger. Wait 1 minute and plug the charger back in and reinsert the battery pack. If the status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, then the battery pack may mean a faulty battery and needs to be replaced. Solid red means that the battery is at the wrong temperature to be charged (too hot or too cold). Bring the battery and charger indoors for about 15 minutes before trying to charge again. In some cases, battery date stamp will vary please note, these are not sell-by dates or expiration dates. If batteries expired within a couple of months of manufacture, they'd be useless for their intended purpose. Getting a battery that's been manufactured in the same month you bought it would be unlikely, rest assured, that the battery life will not be affected, and the warranty begins on the purchase date. We hope this helps! Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, contact us through Live Chat on (www.greenworkstools.com) or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline 1-855-345-3934. We would like the opportunity to speak with you to see if we can find a solution.
