We have a Greenworks string trimmer and a backpack blower. The original battery is 2Ah and runs the trimmer long enough to most of our yard, but will only power the blower for about 15 minutes. Our new 5Ah battery runs the blower long enough to get lots of work done. When it does run down, we still have the other battery to finish up with. We really needed the heavier duty battery to make these tools practical for our use.
Have the 60v 21" mower, does not get 60 minutes of run time using a 5AH battery without the drive-motor, despite the product description saying this is possible with a 4AH. Bought this, and its too long to fit in the compartment with the lid closed.

Hello Owner,
It is unfortunate to hear that the run time is unsatisfactory. The run time of a lawnmower is dependent on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching, using self-propelled function etc. - there are so many factors to consider. The run-time of a battery would depend on the load acting on the unit while in use (speed, terrain, unit height, grass height, and density). Please be aware that the more power being used from the lawn mower (i.e. lawn mower speed, terrain, grass height, density, etc.), the faster the battery charge will drain. Here are a few tips to help you extend the run time. 1) Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time. 2) Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass and ensure that grass is dry. Lastly, while all our 60V batteries can be used interchangeably with our 60V tools. *Some exceptions do apply for the 60V 8.0Ah battery. We would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
I wanted to like this tool, but I just can't. The place where both pieces attach is loose and causes the end to wobble. This results in cuts that are not uniform and actually causes the blade to hit things you don't want. It's dangerous when it doesn't have to be.
