Easy to use

I got this to replace a gas-powered, walk behind edger that was a pain to maintain and start. This is so much easier to use. I hadn't edged for a long time and there was a lot of grass and dirt built up along my driveway, sidewalk, and street. My 2Ah battery didn't quite make it through my 1/4 acre lawn but now that the lawn is cleaned up I think the battery will last through the whole job. Like the gas powered edger I had before, the electric edger stopped a number of times when the grass and dirt got really thick and I was going too fast. This seemed to be due to over-load protection. I had to release the trigger and press it again to restart. This was a lot easier than having to pull the cord of the old, gas powered edger. Again, I don't think that will be necessary next time.

The usability of this tool is outstanding! The boost feature allowing for a faster rpm or a longer runtime is so useful when trimming a small area vs a larger one. It's lightweight and easy to use and seems quite durable. Overall I'm very pleased!

My lawn was in need of an edging, having not done it in a couple of years. This tool did the trick. It works well and cuts a clean edge. I highly recommend, especially if you have some of their other tools to share batteries (I have a mower as well). I think these products are great.

What a joy to have an edger with this much power and o be tethered to a cord! I have 410’ of sidewalk to edge and about 70’ of that is an edge that is about an inch thick. This thing just cuts through that like butter!
This is my fourth Greenworks device and I love all of them.
