Underpowered

I purchased this battery as recommended by greenworks to use with the 18" x-range chainsaw. Unfortunately it does not provide enough power under load to keep the saw from tripping off. The battery gets very warm and the over temp warning appears with every use. It will work for smaller cuts not using much of the bar but that's not what the bigger saw is for. It's a powerful cutting machine when used with a 5ah battery. No overload or over heat issues with the larger battery. I do like size and weight of the 2.5 and the ability to track charges with Bluetooth. Probably best for string trimmers and lighter duty tools.

Only problem I have with these batteries is the life of them when doing a big job. I have a bank of six batteries between 3 chargers that I keep on rotation so I never run out. But they're great!

Just what I needed with my Greenworks 60 volt mower. My lawn is very large and my original battery lasted for most of it. This extra battery helps me get the job done.

Bluetooth battery

For those of you who find it useful to monitor the battery with an iPhone, the Bluetooth function works well. The battery itself delivers plenty of power right until the end of the charge. Though I wish all of these batteries had a little more endurance.

Long lasting Power!

Bought an extra battery for extended trimming and chain saw work on the section of the Tuscarora trail that I maintain. I won't worry about running out of power again! Love Greenworks batteries for extended power times!

I love the blowwer and use it for yard and after car wash to remove excess water. Had the 2.5 battery and needed more time. this new one has all the time and power I needed. Would do it again if i need more time.
