This newer version of 40 Amp battery is even better than the original supplied with our mower. We mow over an acre, so one battery was not quite enough. This one is faster charging and lasts about 45 minutes.

Have the 60v 21" mower, does not get 60 minutes of run time using a 5AH battery without the drive-motor, despite the product description saying this is possible with a 4AH. Bought this, and its too long to fit in the compartment with the lid closed.

It is unfortunate to hear that the run time is unsatisfactory. The run time of a lawnmower is dependent on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching, using self-propelled function etc. - there are so many factors to consider. The run-time of a battery would depend on the load acting on the unit while in use (speed, terrain, unit height, grass height, and density). Please be aware that the more power being used from the lawn mower (i.e. lawn mower speed, terrain, grass height, density, etc.), the faster the battery charge will drain. Here are a few tips to help you extend the run time.
1) Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time.
2) Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass and ensure that grass is dry.
Lastly, while all our 60V batteries can be used interchangeably with our 60V tools. *Some exceptions do apply for the 60V 8.0Ah battery.

All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

I have three of these batteries now and in spite of getting a good run out each one I am sort of a perfectionist about getting the job done. I have several tools to use them with and when I get started I keep going with the other tools.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too expensive

The entire lawn mower and the battery cost about the same price as the battery!
