Lighter and more maneuverable than a gas edger, you can cut an easy lip for a turf border on a mulch bed & edge the driveway/walkway. Easy to control & has a good safety trigger as well. I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of it for years. I do appreciate the 60V system as the majority of my lawn & snow equipment use the same battery. I ordered a couple extra blades as well for future use.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Effective, Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 5 Ah battery that lasts about 45 minutes. My yard takes about an hour to mow, so I could mow the front yard or the back yard but would have to stop to recharge and then continue or risk having a discharged battery with only a small patch of grass left to mow. This 2.0 battery gives me the extra 15 minutes I need to mow both in an hour! Would have been nice if there was just a wee bit more juice in this smaller battery, just for days when the going is a bit tough, but every little bit helps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought that this was a more powerful and long lasting battery, but it's not. The battery dies after 30 to 40 minutes of use for my lawn with is about .05
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The run time varies depending on the tool that it is being used in but also the load acting against the unit while in use. For reference, the difference between the amp hour (Ah) is runtime. The higher the Ah (amp hour) the more runtime a battery will provide. Yes, you could use a 2.0Ah batteries instead, just note that 2.0Ah battery yield a shorter run time of about 20-30 minutes in a mower.
Larger amp hour batteries in the Greenworks 60v line but are essentials for larger tools like the mowers for optimal runtime. Expensive 60v 4Ah

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an expensive battery, but I need to get a second one to keep up with mowing the lawn. Rainy weather means I have to mow long wet grass opportunistically.
