[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two Problems with the batteries I received:
1) THEY ARE OLD lithium battery 1 made 11/03/21 (past 3 years old) lithium battery 2 made 01/08/22 (One month shy of 3 years old) - My last 5 amp greenworks battery lost over 50% of it power capacity after 6 years from it’s manufacture date. Based on that, already being 3 years old, these new batteries may only last 3 more years.
2) VERY LOW EMERGENCY STATE OF CHARGE Green light flashing: The manual states that if the green light flashes it could be near 10%.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Unhappy1000. Thank you for sharing your expereince. This is a diagnostic charger. The Charger LED Lights will illuminate in specific order to communicate. the current battery status. They are as follows: Blinking Green > Charging Solid Green > Fully Charged Solid Red Over > Temperature A green flashing light indicates that the battery is charging. A solid green light indicates that the battery is fully charged. Flashing red - fault. False Defect Note: When the battery is inserted into the charger, and the status LED flashes, remove the battery from the charger for 1 minute, then reinsert. If the status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, remove the battery pack and unplug the charger. Wait 1 minute and plug the charger back in and reinsert the battery pack. If the status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, then the battery pack may mean a faulty battery and needs to be replaced. Solid red means that the battery is at the wrong temperature to be charged (too hot or too cold). Bring the battery and charger indoors for about 15 minutes before trying to charge again. In some cases, battery date stamp will vary please note, these are not sell-by dates or expiration dates. If batteries expired within a couple of months of manufacture, they'd be useless for their intended purpose. Getting a battery that's been manufactured in the same month you bought it would be unlikely, rest assured, that the battery life will not be affected, and the warranty begins on the purchase date. We hope this helps! Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, contact us through Live Chat on (www.greenworkstools.com) or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline 1-855-345-3934. We would like the opportunity to speak with you to see if we can find a solution.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having purchased reconditioned Batteries: they charged without any problem. Will be working with them this weekend. Thank you. Will update as needed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this edger about a month ago, works great trimming weeds and bushes around my house. Would recommend to homeowner with light landscaping.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lasted a little over a year before it went bad and wouldn't charge. This doesn't get used in the winter and this summer I had a service so it didn't get used at all. I stored it on the shelf in the garage so it wasn't exposed to excessive heat or cold. I store it out of the mower and off of the charger. unfortunately when I went to use it today it was bad. my second battery now lasts about 1/2 of what it did in the spring. It works ok for a lawn mower, but now I can only get through about 1/2 of my 10k sq. ft. of mowing before it runs out of juice.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet

Hello Bobby V. Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with your batteries. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. There are many possible scenarios that can affect the lifespan of a battery. In ideal conditions the battery has a charge and discharge cycle of up to 2000. While we only work with the highest quality products, nothing is always perfect, but not to worry Greenworks 60V lithium-ion batteries are offered with a 4 year (homeowner) limited warranty. Please contact Greenworks Customer Experience directly through Live Chat on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a Live agent or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline 1-855-345-3934 for a proper evaluation. All we ask is you have access to the battery and charger at the time of you call.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous battery stopped charging after four years of use. However I did have an extra one. I had a 5.0ah, but this one is a 2.5. I am hoping that it works at least half the time as the original on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased for invasive weed control. Lightweight and comfortable to handle and wear. Easy filling with the large opening. Fast charging 60 volt battery and charger included. Good tool to add to my Greenworks collection
