After one year, I can't charge the battery. I put it on the charger and the charger light doesn't come on and the battery doesn't charge. And please, I don't need to hear "put a multimeter on it". That's so great, for someone into electronics or electricity. Looking at the replacement price, this should work way longer than a year. All my other tools have lasted WAY longer. I have had some for 6+ years and am still using same batteries and chargers. Only reason I gave 2 stars is the fact that I do like the lawn mower. Not going to waste my money on this. My lawn is way too small to waste this kind of money on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. This my second mowing season with my Greenworks mower. Mine uses two 60V 4.0 A batteries so when one runs down the other kicks in. Last year I was able to mow my entire 1/3 acre backyard with the two batteries in one hour. This year the batteries do not last as long, 40 minutes and I have to recharge them. Disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
