This really needs a fan!

This gets too hot, it without a doubt needs a cooling fan. Compounding the problem, the internal heat sinks are oriented the wrong way; horizontally instead of vertically to promote better air flow. The heat transfers into the battery pack which does run cool in operation.
Inserting the pack requires a hard push to 'seat' the pack, but removing it is another thing. I'm surprised I never read any complaints about that. It's really tough to remove the pack, bordering on almost impossible w/o help. I can't see anyone with arthritis in their hands doing so.
FWIW; AC power consumption is 130 watts max, that tapers down towards the end of the charging cycle of 2 hours for a 60v 4ah pack. Eight minutes after the indicator light goes solid green, the charger goes into a idle state at .5watt
I’ve been very happy with the ease and performance of this charger. These big 60v batteries charge of pretty quickly and the build is solid like everything else made by Greenworks.
