Hello Steve2750 Sorry to hear you have returned the 5Ah Battery- LB60A02 (LB60A02). The battery run time is depending on the load. Battery misalignment is a common issue that can occur. It's easy to incorrectly align the battery and not realize it. Check to make sure there are no gaps and that the battery and charger are correctly seated. Slide the battery all the way down ensuring there are no gaps. There is an LED light on the front of the charger. This information is also inside your owner's manual. Blinking green means the charger is charging. Solid green indicates the charger is charged. Solid red indicates the battery is too warm. Blinking red indicates connection fault (possible battery issue). In the future, you can contact us directly for much quicker response and resolution on info@greenworkstools.com or at directly at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) we have a very dedicated customer support team here to help you in any way we can.
I’m on my third battery and have only used the mower twice. I removed the latest battery from the charger once the green light stopped blinking, put it in the mower made sure the red key was inserted and the mower still won’t start. This mower and battery have been a headache from day one. I would not recommend buying.

Dear larhar1225 Only common issue we hear of for initial startups are as follows. Press and hold in on the switch round safety lock out button, while continuing to push it in pull back on the bale. Hoping this was maybe a misstep and will be able to correct with these instructions. Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com. We have a very dedicated customer support team here to help you in any way we can.
Noticed my second 60 battery wasn't fully charged and thought it wasn't positioned on the charger properly... It was, so took it off and put it back on. No charge light. Unplugged the unit and noticed a small electric spark when re-plugging in (this happened with all our outlets I tried as well). So, now I have to buy another charger. My wife got me an entire Greenworks Pro set up (Mower, blower, trimmer) as a gift, and now we have no way of charging any of them... No Bueno!!!

Hello JoeW Sorry to hear of challenges you are experiencing with the battery Charger- CH60A00 is providing. With the charger plugged in and the uncharged battery attached, a green flashing light should appear. Once the battery has been fully charged, this green light will stop flashing, and it would be a solid green light. We advise check the status of the battery with the indicator button on the battery itself (once it is removed from the charger). After going through this you still have problems charging the battery, please contact our helpline at 1-855-345-3934 or by email on info@greenworkstools.com.
Charging for the first time. The green light starts blinking and the charger makes a buzzing noise which is kind of irritating. I was not sure if this buzzing noise is common.

However, if you are finding the sound unbearable please consider contacting us at 1-855-345-3934 or by email on info@greenworkstools.com. We're happy to troubleshoot any problems for free and offer free repairs within your warranty period.
Bought in May 2019. Charged battery to full capacity. Using 60V 540 CFM Cordless Brushless Axial Blower. Ran on high speed, not turbo, as that is what is required to move the leaves, needles, etc. Battery only lasted 10 mins. To do a 30 min. job would require initial charge of 1 hr, run time of 10 mins., another 1 hr charge, 10 mins run time, another 1 hr of charge, 10 mins. run time. Total time required for a 30 min. job is 3 hours and 30 mins. Not worth it. Any Greenworks' advertising longer run time is not valid.

Hello Dan07
Depending on the speed setting of the blower, the run-time of the battery would vary. On the highest speed, the run-time would be approximately 15-20 minutes, however the run-time from this battery has a range of up to 45 minutes. It's worth noting, the battery is not shipped fully charged. It is recommended to fully charge before first use to ensure that maximum run time can be achieved. This lithium-ion battery will not develop a memory and may be charged at any time. To charge the battery, align the guide rails on the battery pack with the corresponding slots found on the charger. Slide the battery all the way down into the charger until you hear it click into the charger. If no click is heard, the battery has not been fully secured into the charger. The battery should not be able to slide out of the charger without holding down on the battery latch. If the battery can be easily slid out of the charger, the battery and charger are not fully connected. Press the battery capacity indicator (BCI) button. The lights will illuminate according to the battery’s capacity level. If you are still not getting the suggested runtime, we'd love to hear more of your experience, please give us a call at our Greenworks call center at 1-855-345-3934 to speak directly with a Greenworks product expert
I saw the other fellows complaint about battery life and have seen that complaint before so I took a different route when buying.Everybody seems to like the mower when its working so I bought the mower, trimmer and blower in a package deal from lowes. That way I got two batteries, two chargers and enough power to mow and trim and blow debris. you get about an hour from the big guy and about half from the other one.I live on a corner lot and hour and a half is plenty of battery time for my place. BTW the book doesn't say anything about this but I noticed when it runs out of power it beeps to let you know.I like the tools as well.
