I have had this toothbrush for several years and it has held up really well! I started using it when I started having issues with my gums. the dentist suggested it so I bought one right on the spot and have used it ever since!my gums have been a lot healthier! I just wish I could buy the heads in a single pack because I don't know how much longer the system will work and I don't want to get stuck with extra heads! do you still sell that same system because my dentist does not.he has the newer on which takes a different head! I LOVE IT!!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

wasteful

This product works well but what a wasteful design! Why can't you make a toothbrush where just the top head pops off so only a small part needs to be replaced? You should accept these back for recycling, and make the effort to make a less wasteful product.

Great product - Fills landfills unnecessarily though

This is a great product. Great enough to where I wanted to write a review! Since the body of the toothbrush is very durable and stands up to daily use like it is nothing, I went to get a replacement head yesterday. As soon as I saw them in the store I realized what a stupid idea it was to get this. Two replacement heads cost almost as much as the original product! What a waste. The idea behind durable goods is to save the environmental impact. As much as I love this product, I will not use it anymore for this exact reason.
Pros: works excellent!, my teeth have never been brighter!
Cons: replacement heads cost too much.

Works good but wasteful

We have been using the e-Series toothbrush for years now and they work great. However, I always feel bad about replacing the heads because they last 3 months and then the large plastic, metal, and nylon head has to be thrown away. What's worse, the plastic blister pack is not even made of recyclable plastic. I'm sure you're not the only company that doesn't take back brush heads, but why not? I am sure some parts could be cleaned, reused, or recycled. I would be so proud of a company that did this and would spread the word to others.
Will reach every part of the teeth where the manual one can't even reach. I feel mouth freshness after every time I brush with sonicare. Sometimes forget to charge the unit and felt that I didn't brush for that day when I use the manual one. When leaving the country, I normally pack the Sonicare and the charging unit with the AC converter to use in other country.

Filthy inside the screw on cap and well the magnet

I unscrewed my e series head to see what looked like mold in threads and cap that screws onto the bottom battery pack motor. The well that the magnet assembly goes into was also black with what looked like mold!!! Can’t find e series heads at any retailer. My whole sonicare unit was expensive and I thought it was healthier way to brush my teeth. Now I question what has been going into my mouth instead? Bacteria?

Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Philips Sonicare e-Series toothbrush head.
We would like to inform you that it is not possible to remove mould or fungi. However, to prevent this from happening again, we would request you to follow the steps given below. Rinse the brush heads after each use. Allow the brush heads to air dry after each use. Dry the handle after each use.
