The product is great but the replacement brushes are very expensive. Moreover, the product smells when you use it as the water and toothpaste penetrates the product. It is not very hygienic.
This product cleans my teeth completely and keeps my gums healthy.

This product does a great job removing plaque and keeping my gums healthy and free of bacteria. My mouth feels fresh and my teeth feel clean with each use. I appreciate the timed intervals so I can complete each section of my teeth with equal brush time.
Pros: clean feel with each brushing, healthy gums
Cons: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

My review is more on packaging. Twice now I have mistakenly bought these screw on brush heads thinking they were the other brush head replacements. It’s very hard to find the plaque control heads where I live and seeing the plaque control on the description I grabbed them thinking they were my replacements. My brush is not the screw on so I’m out of close to $80 buying these by mistake. You would think being 2 totally different brush heads they would alter the packaging to avoid this mistake. I’m changing toothbrushes because I’m sick of running around trying to find brush heads and thinking Iv found them to end up with something that will not work. Maybe make it more obvious they are 2 totally different products and not make the packaging identical.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Difficult and time consuming to keep clean

Have used Sonicare brushes since first available. I decided that the abrasive non sonic competitor that kept failing due to moisture wasn't for me after one was replaced (with a rebuilt one) during warranty and yet another stopped working.
Unfortunately to me it's very annoying to have to remove the sonic head after every use to wash and dry. If not done frequently the handle and the brush head will collect the remnants of the toothpaste particularly at the junction of the head threads and the handle.
At least a decent holder to dry the head in and drain the cavity of the beam connected to the magnet would at least make the job less annoying. Something for the magnetic head bottom to clamp to and a container to collect the moisture before the head gets dry??
It almost requires another standard toothbrush to scour the threaded area of head and handle for me when I brush several times a day. An occasional thorough washing of the head drive system in very HOT running water for several minutes is needed. If you do this often after use and give it several hard shakes of the head the clots of dark mildewy goo will emerge from the mechanism. UGH!!!
There has to be a better way to seal the seam between the head and the handle so the necessary cleaning of the threaded area can be done less often. How about a silicon washer?
The flexible seal where the head meets the threaded end cap needs a redesign to seal it better to keep pasty water from entering the mechanism as it runs down the brush handle.
Still the best way to cut dental bills in spite of my annoyance with it!!! :-)
I would recommend this to a friend!

If money is no object for you then this product is ok. The units aren't inexpensive and do wear out. The worst is that after you spend all that money on the unit you have to have the replacement brushes. They cost five times more than a regular toothbrush but last about the same time.
