Tried them all, Sonicare still the winner

I have had my e-series sonicare for so many years that the number on the inside is not recognized. It still works better than any of the other on the market, including any online or grocery store brand which does not do well in older hands and does not have a head to get in all of the crooks and crannies of my teeth, the other grocery store battery propelled teeth brushes which are fine for traveling and have a variety of heads and hand grips. I’ve kept mine very clean and each time I get my teeth cleaned, I get high grades, even at almost 69. I will in time need a new one as the pause is starting to waiver at over 15 -20 years, and there is no doubt I will get a Philips Sonicare e-Series Sonic Toothbrush. Also, the threads are starting to go, but again after so many years!

Works great! Reasonable price for high quality!

The "e series" Sonicare toothbrush is affordable and works very well. It's worth the small investment of buying authentic Philips toothbrush heads. Last year I bought a 'generic' brush head from an outside vendor and it bent after about a week. A Philips associate helped me figure out what was wrong, then steered me to the correct brush heads and gave me a great discount! Philips has excellent customer service and I've been happy with every Philips product I own. I am sharing this review as part of the Holiday Sweepstakes.

Works good but wasteful

We have been using the e-Series toothbrush for years now and they work great. However, I always feel bad about replacing the heads because they last 3 months and then the large plastic, metal, and nylon head has to be thrown away. What's worse, the plastic blister pack is not even made of recyclable plastic. I'm sure you're not the only company that doesn't take back brush heads, but why not? I am sure some parts could be cleaned, reused, or recycled. I would be so proud of a company that did this and would spread the word to others.

There is no way to be sure the right model number
on March 14, 2020

The assignment of model numbers for Sonicare brushes is not at all understandable or transparent. For example there is no consistancy - the model number may change without he product changing, just the number in a package or the age of the product batch. There is a misunderstanding as to what has to change for the model numnber to change.

Hiya, Joel. Thanks for leaving your review behind here. We appreciate your feedback on the numbering of our Sonicare brush heads and do regret to hear that it is confusing for you. The Sonicare brush heads indeed have a different product number depending on how many are in a pack. The difference in the model itself can be determined by the product name of the brush head. Your feedback is duly noted though and we have forwarded it to the concerning team.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further.

Hope to speak to you soon!

Terrible packaging same as non screw on.

My review is more on packaging. Twice now I have mistakenly bought these screw on brush heads thinking they were the other brush head replacements. It’s very hard to find the plaque control heads where I live and seeing the plaque control on the description I grabbed them thinking they were my replacements. My brush is not the screw on so I’m out of close to $80 buying these by mistake. You would think being 2 totally different brush heads they would alter the packaging to avoid this mistake. I’m changing toothbrushes because I’m sick of running around trying to find brush heads and thinking Iv found them to end up with something that will not work. Maybe make it more obvious they are 2 totally different products and not make the packaging identical.

It is great to get the proper brush head at a good price from the manufacturer.
We had bad experiences with replacement brush heads from 3rd parties.

Super quality and great performance

Philips Sonicare e-Series Standard sonic toothbrush heads are extremely high quality. I have been using them for more than 15 years and have never had a problem with the Philips head (knock off brands have given me issues in the past - so I don't use them anymore). And the performance is unbeatable. My dental hygienist says she never finds plaque on my teeth, they are among the best that she ever cleans, and to keep doing what I'm doing (i.e. using the Sonicare brush). I could not be happier with this product.
