Easy new toothbrush

I've had my Sonicare toothbrush for about 2 years now and I really like it! My teeth feel clean and my dentist always compliments me on my brushing habits when I go in for cleanings. Sonicare recommends changing the toothbrush heads every 3 months. That is just about right. When I change to a new head, I can feel the difference. As much as I like this product, I have 2 areas of concern. One is that the replacement brush heads are costly. Probably worth the cost, but it hurts when I have to buy new ones. The second area of concern is keeping the inside of the brush head clean. I've found that taking the brush head off and rinsing both the base and the brush head before putting it back on the charger helps alot. Recently, since my last brush head change, I've been separating the two parts and rinsing them, then putting the base on the charger and the brush head in the little tray that came with the toothbrush. This seems to let everything dry out and I'm not seeing the build-up of toothpaste and saliva that I've seen before. Overall, I love my Sonicare and I try to follow all the instructions that came with it. Advice on keeping it clean would be a benefit.
My only complaint is trying to keep it clean as the toothpaste seems to slide down into the handle part opening and creates a sludge. Would like a tighter seal where the head connects to the base.
I have used Sonicare brushes for more than 20 years and have had excellent dental checkups as a result. My teeth have almost no plaque to be removed by the dentist.
Pros: ease of use

I had the e-Series for many years and this product works on your teeth. I recommend the product to my friends and family members. Philips makes great products! I hope they keep making the classic e-Series product.

I wish you would bring the E series COMPACT screw-on toothbrush head back! I have a small moth & that was the only toothbrush head that fit my mouth without difficulty. I invested money to get the Sonacare toothbrush & now you have removed the only brush that actually fits my mouth. I am very disappointed in your decision! I really would like for you to sell it again, PLEASE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the design of these brushes, and find they do a better job than the smaller round ones. We hope they don't stop making this model.

Product is not fully enclosed. Has ability to promote mold.

The e series toothbrush and toothbrush head promotes mold once wet. Remove head from the base every use and still have issues with mold growth. Philips did replace one of the toothbrushes with a better model where toothbrush head was enclosed.
Pros: does clean teeth well
Cons: mold issue
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product works great at first, but looses power soon after.

From my understanding, the toothbrush uses magnets in the re-placement head. You can really feel the difference in "power" or "speed" once you put a new brush head on, but that power doesn't last but maybe a few days it seems, then it's back to the same strength of an old toohbrush head. I love the toothbrush, and wouldn't use another, but the heads are very exspensive and I wish they were more efficient.
