This is the third generation of Philips Sonicare that I have owned and the product seems to keep getting better with each new release. First rate product for oral hygiene care.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My dentist recomened this product years ago, but I didn't feel the need to shell out that kind of money for a toothbrush. Last year I saw it being offered at a reasonable amount, so I bought it. Wish I had purchased it when my dentist recommened....it's awesome, I totally recommend.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: buying brush head
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am relly using all the features of my new product; CLEAN, REFESH, MASSAGE, and GUM CARE. This is my second Phillips tooth care product in ten years ...... wore out my first one. Dental checkups evry six months are all negative for gum disease and cavities. ( P.S. I'm 78 years old ! )
Great product - Fills landfills unnecessarily though

This is a great product. Great enough to where I wanted to write a review! Since the body of the toothbrush is very durable and stands up to daily use like it is nothing, I went to get a replacement head yesterday. As soon as I saw them in the store I realized what a stupid idea it was to get this. Two replacement heads cost almost as much as the original product! What a waste. The idea behind durable goods is to save the environmental impact. As much as I love this product, I will not use it anymore for this exact reason.
Pros: works excellent!, my teeth have never been brighter!
Have used Sonicare brushes since first available. I decided that the abrasive non sonic competitor that kept failing due to moisture wasn't for me after one was replaced (with a rebuilt one) during warranty and yet another stopped working.
Unfortunately to me it's very annoying to have to remove the sonic head after every use to wash and dry. If not done frequently the handle and the brush head will collect the remnants of the toothpaste particularly at the junction of the head threads and the handle.
At least a decent holder to dry the head in and drain the cavity of the beam connected to the magnet would at least make the job less annoying. Something for the magnetic head bottom to clamp to and a container to collect the moisture before the head gets dry??
It almost requires another standard toothbrush to scour the threaded area of head and handle for me when I brush several times a day. An occasional thorough washing of the head drive system in very HOT running water for several minutes is needed. If you do this often after use and give it several hard shakes of the head the clots of dark mildewy goo will emerge from the mechanism. UGH!!!
There has to be a better way to seal the seam between the head and the handle so the necessary cleaning of the threaded area can be done less often. How about a silicon washer?
The flexible seal where the head meets the threaded end cap needs a redesign to seal it better to keep pasty water from entering the mechanism as it runs down the brush handle.
Still the best way to cut dental bills in spite of my annoyance with it!!! :-)
