I have bought many otter box cases but the screen protector linnea my note 8 is bad kills the usefulness of the phone. The sensitivity of the screen is horrible after putting it on , I even turned up the phones sensitivity and that helped a little but not near enough
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After using the Defender for my previous Note5 I wouldn't even consider a different case for my new Note8. The defender is the best protective case on the market. The fact that this particular case was offered in a great color was a plus. I believe in the Defender series so strongly, that I have purchased them for all of my company owned phones!!
