We intentionally decided to remove this integrated shield from the design in order to offer customers complete, unfiltered access to the curved infinity display. However, we also understand why some might feel a little apprehensive towards this new change, which is why we came up with a tempered glass option as well. This cover has great phone protection and also feels great in the hand. I did lose my wireless charging capability but it's not a deal breaker. I have the same cover for my S8 and it does charge via Bluetooth not sure why the note8 it does not. This is the only cover I would put on my note8 hands down.. Great cover!
