We were concerned that our customers would have difficulty fully accessing the curved infinity display with a built-in screen protector involved, so in order to forego any of these frustrations, we decided to not include one. I have used Otterbox cases for years, and the design continues to improve. This case is not overly bulky, but also feels very safe and secure. All the buttons and ports work great and are easy to access, although sometimes I struggle to get the cover off the charger port. This will probably loosen with time.
My main complaint is the lack of screen protection. I understand the unique design of the galaxy screen makes it difficult to cover without hindering it, but the only option Otterbox currently has is the alpha glass, which will double the price of your phone protection. It would be great to see more affordable options included with the case for those of us who want more protection but can't afford the whole package.
I will continue to only buy Otterbox products for my phones, but I also would like to see more colors and designs. Not much to choose from here.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good casen, but the belt clip broke after 2 days

The phone case itself is as good as any Otterbox defender series case I've had, but the belt clip broke after only 2 days (it broke from LIGHTLY hitting my kitchen counter). I've been using Otterbox defender cases for about 6 years now, and all the belt clips from my previous phones are still in 1 piece after taking at least 2 years of abuse. I would've given it 5 stars if the clip didn't break so soon.
Maybe the design for this belt clip can be revised to take tje extra length into account.
Otherwise the hard and soft covers fit the ohine very well, without making the phone bulky.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Otter Box does a wonderful job making their slip cover cases. They protect your phone from the occaisional drop and they are durable and rugged. I prefer the defender series because they used to come with a built-in screen protector, however with the curved glass of the note 8 I guess they weren't able to include a built-in screen protector. Because of this I had to buy an alpha glass screen protector unfortunately It seems to have issues fitting in the defender case and mine has touch sensitivity issues. For some reason or another it has come loose occasionaly so I opted to buy a durable film screen protector and with the defender series case the edges of the film seem to peel up even with a case friendly screen protector. So in summation the defender series works great it's just finding a screen protector that has been challenging.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have your newest version with belt clip for the Samsung Note 8.. It has, I believe a slight flaw in the snapping/locking mechanism. Whereas the Otter box unit with belt clip for my Note 5 was perfect and closed (and stayed closed) with 1 snap, there are 2 snaps thst occur with the Note 8 unit.
I believe and suggest, that you need to redesign the belt clip unit for the Note 8 so that the entire body of the belt clip unit is more snug to the phone and locks with one click.

Meh, I would have preferred that Otterbox would have included a screen protector, like in previous itterations of the Defender series, and it greatly disturbs me that the *only* screen protection is the black hard shell, that frequently pops off on it's own.
I've purchased Otter box cases for various phones, for both me and my wife, going back to *BEFORE* the Note 2!
