I had an otterbox for my previous phone & I absolutely loved it, when I first got this one I wasn't impressed with it but decided to give it a try & I'm glad I did, these otterboxes are worth the money, they are well made & protect the phones well. The only complaint I have is the color selection, most of them are dull in color like they are geared more to men, women like color, brighten up on the color selection! I had also purchased another phone case from a different company, I didn't even try to use it, it was made so cheap I sent it back. I am so glad I decided to keep the otterbox

Good quality case that adds protection grip and bulk that the note 8 needs but its not really in the same class as earlier defenders
Besides no longer having the screen protector that was a pain in certain light there is very little protection for the screen when impact cames from the side because the screen rises above the the level of rubber
Top and bottom is good but on the sides unless its a bump the screen will be broken
Not sure that I'd recommend first

Better looking and feeling desing than last year but i dont like your screen protector so i had to go with a different brand. Not happy that i cant wirelessly charge standing up. Not happy with the power port at the bottom. I actually had to remove it entirely. Other than that its great.

For the last several phones, I've purchased an Otterbox Defender; love the case and have never had an issue. Same for my Note 8; however, there are problems with the belt clip. I've twice had my brand new phone hit the pavement when it magically "unsnapped" from the clip and it doesn't seem the case seats very security into the clip.
A previous clip broke, but Otterbox replaced the entire clip and case very quickly with zero fuss. Last, I wear a wide belt to work and Otterbox used to make an optional 2¼" clip for the case; they don't anymore. I called Otterbox regarding this issue and was told my the call taker they "...would look into it"; never got a response and, to my knowledge, Otterbox never again made those clips available.
A little more engineering on the current clip along with an optional 2¼" belt clip and your product would actually be perfect. Whaddaya think, Otterbox?

What I don't like about the case, it do not have a screen protector on The defender Series, that's one thing I like about the Case.
