Without the protective plastic on the front of the Otter Box, one is forced to use the horrible glass protective layer instead. This does not fit will with the otter box case and continues to break on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. This company should go back to the older version, where I did not have to change my case for 4 1/2 years on the Note 3. I have already replaced the protective glass on my one month old phone twice already. Disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased my first smart phone when my grandson was 3. No one would let him near their delicate phones, I purchased an Otter box Defender case, handed my phone to him and never looked back. Some people laughed that it made my phone a little more bulky but in the end I have never had a cracked screen and when I upgrade my phones look as if they just came off the shelf. I just received my Note 8, had the case even before the phone arrived, popped it in and I cannot wait for my now 11 year grandson to explore all of its new features.

Although I have not received my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 yet I have received the case and it looks like they've made some improvements the case is a lot thinner and it does not have that cheap looking plastic cover over the face does not look like it has too much bulky size to the phone can't wait to try it
