Hi Jordyn,
A case breaking down after a month?! Yikes! That's not good to hear! We'd love to turn around this experience for you! Give our handy Otters a quick call at 1-855-688-7269 and we'll get this repaired for you!
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Otterbein defender case has inherent weakness at bottom right corner which may fracture easily. Also belt clip holding power is somewhat tenuous and does not quite fit snuggly. I still buy, but I am eyeing the competition.
I am extremely displeased that the defender does not offer the screen protector anymore. I've been a faithful otterbox customer for all of my phones, and I am not exceptionally enthused about this one. It does not fit as tight in the holster as my others have. I am pleased with the availability of different colors.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hey Why1,
We apologize that you're feeling so disheartened by this Galaxy Note 8 Defender series! We intentionally decided to do away with the built-in screen protector on this version to perfectly complement the curved screen of the device. After all, we definitely think you should be able to successfully use your phone while it is under our protection!
As for the holster, we typically recommend inserting the device into the clip with the screen facing out - this orientation usually works better with curved screens. If you run into any further inquiries, please feel welcome to give our friendly representatives a call at 1-855-688-7269, and they'll be more than happy to help out!
I bought it at the release day of the note 8. The case is very secure, but the belt clip doesn't feel like it locks in properly as other defender cases I've had.
I have been using Otter Boxes for years and I really like them. They have protected my phones from drops mor times than I can remember. However the weakest part is always the belt clip. There should be a way to reinforce them.
