It’s very protective of the screen display when I place the iPhone in the case it completely covers the screen so I can only see and touch the back of the iPhone. Each time, I have to remove the iPhone from the case to access the screen to make calls etc. I think the design could of been better thought through.

Good phone cover and looks smart, but sadly that’s where it ends.
The case is very tight to the phone with not much flex to place the phone in easily.
Older Otterbox cases I’ve used had a rubberised back which means the phone doesn’t go flying all over the place, as well as that due to the design and materials used if you are watching a video and wish to rest it against something it just slides back down on itself, the cutout for the mute switch is very small and fiddly to use, if you have anything but the most slender fingers then you will have fun using the switch.
Add to that a limited colour pallete across the range for an iPhone X Max, not everyone wants plain black, where’s a good solid red tough case or other bright colours, I have mine bright so that I can see it properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this case And have owned one for several years now. I did purchase the yellow for my iPhone X’s max... the only complaint I have is it’s picks up clothing dye. I have had it for two weeks and the edges are blue.
