Had this mower for less than two years, and now it doesn’t start. Greenworks tells me it is a good product, but I should buy a new one as service will cost too much. That is a CRAPPY product. I had a gas mower for 39 years that always started. This is terrible support

Hello Higgs. We understand you are not happy with your warranty period. A warranty is a promise made by us the manufacturer that the product will have a guarantee to be useable within the time frame from the date of purchase, full details warranty policy can be found in the user manual or on our website, www.greenworkstools.com. In some cases, we make an exception by using the serial number, in this case we would not be able to use the serial number as it exceeds the warranty period as well, please note that making this exception goes beyond our responsibility as the manufacturer, we do this as courtesy. All companies on the market have a warranty period and policy in place. We at Greenworks like any other brand, have a warranty procedure we must adhere to for warranty claims and their timelines. Greenworks 48V line is backed by a three-year tool limited & three-year battery warranty which is more than double industry standard. This means you’ve got a little protection on your investment. It also makes a statement on how much Greenworks stands behind their products. We are sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing. However, the warranty period has passed, and without proof of purchase, we are unable to process warranty claims. We understand this may be disappointing, but we appreciate your understanding.
Bought this about two years and I absolutely hate it. The batteries die way to quickly. The leaf blower only lasts 5 minutes, the mower does in 10 to 15 minutes. The only thing I think I like is the weed eater. Not worth the money in my opinion. Thought this would work best for a yard that is small, but nope. If I could return my set I absolutely would.

Hello Guest85. We are sorry to hear the unit has not fully met your expectations. Runtimes can vary depending. Trimmer, run-times vary based on grass conditions and operator’s technique and blowers are considered a high-power draw application which means they do tend to drain the battery quite rapidly in comparison to some other tools. Mower runtimes can vary depending on a few factors, including but not limited to grass texture and consistency, cutting height, using the self-propelled for the entire mow, and lawn size. For added runtime, we recommend purchasing additional batteries and you can view the 24V platform here, (https://www.greenworkstools.com/em-cgi/btag/collections/24-volt?uff_57w5tv_metafield%3Aattribute.accessories=Batteries%20%26%20Chargers). Each product requires two batteries to operate. Ensure both batteries are charged 100%. If each battery has a different charge state, the run-time of the machine is subject to the lowest powered battery (For example one battery is charged 100, and the other is charged 50%, the unit will only run until the 50% battery is depleted). We hope this information helpful. We hope you will find this information useful. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this after my gas mower got a hole in the deck… it’s so amazingly light I can get my grass done faster without as much effort… so easy to adjust the deck… handles the grass easily for power… my yard is small so one charge easily does it
Fresh out of the box not even able to cut my lawn for 15 minutes until it runs out of battery. Just enough to make you mad that you started to begin with and your yard looks worse than if you hadn’t done anything. I can only imagine the 5 Star reviews are bot reviews or people living in Barbie’s dream house sized mowing areas. Truth be told it’s a waste of money and even getting a second set of batteries won’t solve the problem as the charging time VASTLY outweighs the run time. Will be looking to return

Hello RunningOnEmpty. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the runtime you are getting. The 48v self-propelled lawn mower cuts up to 1/2 acre when using the (2) fully charged 5Ah batteries (included). The maximum advertised run time is based on no load. It is important to recognize that the Runtimes can vary depending on a few factors, including but not limited to if the self-propel feature is used throughout the entire cut, grass texture and consistency, cutting height, and lawn size. Please note, users must use (2) fully charged Greenworks 24V battery packs. Do not use battery packs other than Greenworks 24V. Ensure both batteries are charged 100%. If each battery has a different charge state, the run-time of the machine is subject to the lowest powered battery (For example: one battery is charged 100%, and the other is charged 50%, the unit will only run until the 50% battery is depleted). When using (2) batteries with different amp hours (Ah), the machine will run until the lower (Ah) battery is depleted. . It is unfortunate to read that you are looking to return the unit, if you wish to address your concerns directly with one of our product specialists first, please contact us by Live Chat through the customer contact page located on our website or call Greenworks toll-free helpline at 1-888-909-6757 before returning to the store. We would like the opportunity to speak with you to see whether your run time would be considered average.
My first mower broke, the self propel just stopped working, so they sent me another one. Less than 2 years this one is dead, wont start. I have purchased a lot of Greenworks products and I swear I want a refund for all of them and I will send them back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mower worked well for the first month but now only runs for around 3 minutes with two fully charged batteries.

Hello MikeLuc.
We are sorry to hear of your experience. Ensure both batteries are fully charged before attempting to use the mower, users must use (2) fully charged Greenworks 24V battery packs. Greenworks mowers can also experience reduced runtime due to factors like overgrown grass or extreme temperatures. Long, thick grass can put a strain on the mower's motor, potentially causing it to shut down or reduce runtime. Make sure the grass is not excessively long and adjust the mower height if needed. Lithium-Ion batteries can be affected by very hot or very cold temperatures, reducing their performance. If possible, try a different set of batteries (if you have them) to see if the issue persists or try a different charger to see if the issue is with the charger. If you have exhausted all troubleshooting steps and the problem persists, contact us through Live Chat on Greenworks Tools website or call 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). So, our experts can discuss your experience; please have your unit, battery and charger with you along with the model and serial number to complete troubleshooting to ensure quick resolution is provided.
