I would not recommend this mower. The battery dies after about 45 min of use and takes at least 6 hours to recharge. If you have grass that's even the slightest bit thick, it can't handle it and just shuts off. It took me 4 days to cut my grass with this mower because it kept turning off and dying on me. What a waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Waste of money
Thank you for reaching out to us. We regret to hear that you do not recommend this product. Many customers have had great success with this model and come to enjoy it in our product line up. We wish it could have provided the same experience for you. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life! As you mentioned you are getting approx. 45 mins runtime. when using the both batteries combined this would be normal. This unit is advertised as running up to 45 minutes of run-time with two fully charged 4.0 Ah USB Batteries. We would be interested in hearing more about the charge time. Charge time for the batteries are 60 minutes per 24V Battery (4.0 Ah battery), your charge time of 6hr. is abnormal, please contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) so we can investigate the charging time. All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

it is my first lawn mower. it is cordless, not heavy, I could handle it. it has safety control and easily to run. Both the height for grass and the height for operator could be adjusted.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's fine, but not quite what I was hoping for. It's much slower than my self-propelled gas mower so mowing takes longer, and it's a stretch to finish our yard before the batteries give out—even though it's not a particularly large yard.

Thank you for your feedback. Always enjoy hearing from our customers. We greatly appreciate your feedback and are glad you had some pros/cons to share with us. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains. Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. 5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
