[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a longer narrow yard with lots of obstacles. I didn’t want something big and I cannot stand the noise and smell of regular mowers. This is perfect and so quiet. It works quickly and is great quality.

Terrible battery
on May 18, 2024

I bought this mower with the two 5.0 aH batteries. They are supposed to last 'up to 45 minutes'. What a joke. I have mowed my lawn three times now and this is what I get. Fully charged lasts about 16 minutes, not enough to do my entire yard. I charge they to full again (in the dual slot charger this takes over two hours, not the 75 minutes that is claimed) and try to finish. Next charge lasts about 10 minutes. Still not done with my lawn. On the third attempt I barely finish what should easily be done an one charge. I can only think that your advertising is deceptive. If I needed a stronger battery I would have bought those instead of what came with the mower. As it is, it is pretty much worthless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being close to 80 the self propulsion feature is unbeatable on my hills and inclines. The blower is superb, very efficient. The trimmer works well but gets too heavy for me, not the trimmer's issue, but mine. I'm not very good with it.

Lightweight quiet mowing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most lightweight mower I've ever used that still has good pick up. Only needed 1 4AH battery to mow 1/3 acre.

Super happy I bought this!!

I just used for the first time today. I live in Michigan and normally we do not mow until the end of April at the earliest. I have under an acre and use an electric riding mower for the bulk, but also do quite a large area with a push mower. I was shocked how much I mowed and still have 1 bar left on each battery. It more than surpassed what I was expecting. It's very easy to use and I love the self-propel feature; my first mower with it. It's super quiet and I love that it folds up easy. I couldn't be happier that I purchased this and I did a ton of research before I picked this one.

Don’t buy it

Just got this a few days ago for for 1/5 acre yard. It can’t even mow that all the way through without quitting. I’ve made sure I’m on optimal settings, the batteries are charged, and the lawn is dry. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life! This unit is advertised as running up to 45 minutes (w/ 2 fully charged 4.0Ah batteries), but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains. Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time.

1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.

We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average;please contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
