Wowwy Kazowwy this mower is great. I love that it is self propelled as it makes inclines a piece of cake. I can slow it down for going around flower beds and trees and then speed it up on the open areas. The batteries charge quickly and I love that there are 2 that switch over automatically when one runs out.

Amazing cut

I had a used 40volt mower and this thing puts it to shame. Not only is it an amazing cut, but I don’t even have to push. The bagging is easy and charging is super fast.
It does use up the batteries faster with self-propelling but it charges the 4amphour battery in the time it takes to have a break. So even with one charger I’m not worried about needing to charge faster.
The back wheel will lock up right after releasing the throttle so you can’t pull it back easy. But you can fix this by pushing the machine forward a bit or stopping and then going forward a bit. It caught me the first few times but it’s just a learning curve. I now make sure to push the last foot or two before needing to turn. That clears the lock and there’s no issue.
The suction is pretty good too. There isn’t any grass left down when it’s bagging. And it folds up in a flash. Mine is tucked away beside my recycling bin.
Honestly, this model is a bit expensive and I was a little worried about spending this much, but it’s been worth it every time. It’s a well built powerful mower. The batteries offer enough charge to knock out a half acre or more.

We've only had it for about a month but so far so good. We can get both our front and back lawns completed (about a 10th of an acre) on one charge, but the batteries charge fast even if we forget to charge them before mowing. Occasionally the unit shuts off when going over large exposed roots but it could be due to letting up on the handles as they are sensitive and the unit will shut off if you even let up slightly. Overall we are pleased with it!

It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time.
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.
5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. Using the self-propelled feature will reduce the runtime by half.

I Bought Two Greenworks Lawnmowers

In early June I bought my mom a Greenworks 80V lawnmower. I was so impressed with how it starts and how well it cuts that I bought another Greenworks lawnmower for me, and I really didn't need one. I added the self-proprelled option. I am sold on battery lawn mowers.

Purchased 2 weeks ago. Once I tried the lawn. My question is about the Batteries. even after 20 hours+ of charging, the green light on the charger was still on. I was watching to see the light go off or making another color to show its fully charged.
