[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lawn mover about 6 years ago because my husband died and i am too weak to start a gas mower. That was my great investment. I heard that it would be easy to start and move around but i really didn’t expect that easy. I just push the button and it starts and with a little push it will run just like a shopping cart. I rely on its support to move around. Thats how it’s easy. The adjustable lever is so handy when the weather is too dry and hot. Grass is uneven and dry, so i adjust my cut for higher level. And batteries are running for a long time. I purchased a pack of two to finish my yard of 0.5 acres at once and my batteries are still half charged. Only after 6 years i noticed they started to give up and are not as strong as it was brand new. Additionally to it, after me talking to my neighbors about how quiet mower is i noticed my neighbor across the street purchased one like mine, then another one did the same. I don’t know if it was influence or desperate for battery charge cordless mower and run late evening because it’s quiet but I fell i love with GreenWorks so i purchased other items of that brand through the years and completely satisfied with my purchases. I personally think that this brand is a new wireless generation that is replacing older good brands forever.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first, it was incredible. And then after 6 months, the self-propel stopped working. 1.5 years later one of the batteries is defective and flashing red. If not for these two things I would give it 5 stars and highly recommend. When it's working well, it's pretty incredible.

Hello SomeHuskerFan. We are sorry to hear of the issues you experienced. We can see you have been in touch with our team, and we are happy they were able to assist you with this warranty claim. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know we are here to help. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Massive Upgrade from our last lawn mower! This is not our first rodeo with Greenworks. Our last mower, dual blade from Greenworks, treated us well for about 8 years. But we felt it was time to upgrade and so glad we did. Not only does it charge so much faster then our last one, we love the push assist.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It mows dry grass well if the blades are sharp. It doesn’t mulch well. It tends to leave clumps if the grass is moist at all. Overall, disappointed with this purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Meh2024. Lawn mowers mulch grass by lifting the grass clippings into the deck and cutting them into fine pieces before they drop back into the ground, because they need to be cut many more times than they do for bagging and side discharge, airflow is critical to the process. In general, try to mulch when you are taking off no more than 2 inches of grass for the best results. That lets the blade speed stay up on just about battery-powered mower and get those fine pieces that send nutrients back into your lawn. You will typically get much better mulching results if you can cut when your grass is dry. That leaves the clippings lighter, so they stay up in the deck longer and do not stick to the sides. Mulching grass when it is wet means the blade can’t cut the clippings as small before they drop out. And the wetter the grass, the more challenging it becomes.
