[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Greenworks Pro 21" mower which was great for our prior house that had a yard that was less than a quarter acre in size, but was not sufficient for for our new home has just under 3/4 of an acre. I got the 25" self-propelled, and it has cut down my mowing time and gets the entire lawn cut with the 2 batteries when they are fully charged.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

Failed battery after 1 year

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower in June 2023 from Greenworks and one battery is already dead (won't charge). I have used the mower for a little over an hour a week during the mowing season on my yard. Each battery has been used a maximum of about 40 minutes a week. I just want to warn people that the batteries aren't going to last long, although I expected them to last more than a year. With that said I like the mower. It cuts well and is very quiet. The only thing (other than the battery failing) that I don't particularly like is backing up. It takes a few seconds to disengage the drive to be able to back up. That's a nuisance. I do like the larger deck size (25 in). I thought about someday buying a Greenworks electric riding mower, but I probably won't now because those batteries are super expensive to have to replace if they only last a year.
Pros: Convenient, Quiet, Powerful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time and battery life, users can expect up to 80 minutes with both included 4.0 Ah batteries. As you mentioned, each battery has been used a maximum of about 40 minutes a week. This run time would be considered average. The self-propelled feature is not usable in reverse. They are designed to lock when pulled back to prevent damage to the drive belt. If you are using the self-propelled feature, the mower will attempt to move forward and will be difficult to move backwards. You would have to release the self-propelled lever to pull the mower backwards while still holding onto the start lever. We hope this helps.

While we only work with the highest quality products, nothing is always perfect but not to worry, Greenworks lithium-ion batteries are offered with a 4 year (homeowner) limited warranty. Nice product but no service

I've had this mower for a year and a half and although I've like it when it was operating, the self propelled mechanism no longer works and I can't find any place that provides service. The battery charger quit after this same period of time and I had to buy a new one. I can't believe a company like this thinks it is acceptable to provide no service for the residential customer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was shipped fast, easy to assemble from the box, 10 minutes. Easy to fold for storage. Battery life so far is sufficient to get my 1/3 of an acre sloped backyard with half a battery left and I ran it uphill downhill rather than sideways to stress the batteries. No problem. The mower is so light that I never used the drive on the downhill. Turning was easy once I learned to simply let off the drive a few feet before pulling in reverse. I have yet to try the high lift blades. I have put them on and that was easy.
