Good mower, not a big fan of twin blade

Overall, this mower does the basics alright - mow the lawn and it covers a wider swath, reducing the number of back and forth. The batteries last as promised and they recharge very quickly as well. The reason for 3 stars is for the lack of updraft from the twin blades that only the grass that is standing upright gets cut, longer blades that fall over itself doesn't get sucked straight to be cut. Even the high lift blades, that came with the mower, didn't do it well, even on dry grass and with turbo. Forget mulching leaves using this. Maybe this is what you expect with battery mowers in general (I am comparing this to a conventional single blade 21" and I would go with my old one if I could).

Bought this mower to replace an 11 year old Troy-bill gas mower.
This mower is quiet yet powerful. Easy to assemble and easy to use. Handles my .5 acre lot without draining one battery.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm 67 years old and I love doing outdoor yardwork. In all my years and all of the lawn mowers I have owned this Pro 60V 25” Brushless Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn Mower w/ (2) 4.0Ah Batteries and Charger is by far the best one I have ever owned. Super quiet easy to maneuver and the storage feature is super. Love this mower

Great lawn mower

I really love my self-propelled mower. What a difference from the last mower I had which was not self-propelled. Still a decent mower but I would be especially tired after mowing my third of an acre lawn. This mower has shaved around 20 to 25 minutes off my lawn mowing time. Plus I'm not wiped out afterwards. I can actually do other yard work rather than just mowing. Definitely worth the cost. The tiny thing that bugs me just a little is that it doesn't always give a perfectly even cut. But seriously I do not mind much. Still a great lawn mower and I would buy it again.

Great battery life, but rough on battery switching

I bought this over the winter, when there was a sale, and started using it for the spring, summer and now fall. I don't know why Greenworks asked me for a review in the dead of winter, shortly after I bought it. That made no sense to me, and I ignored their request. So I am reviewing now, after about six months of use.
First the good points:
The battery life is excellent. Early on in the spring when my grass was thick and growing fast I used a full battery, plus about a third to a half of the second battery for each cut. This is what I expected. In the summer and now in the fall when grass was/is not growing very fast, I used/use a full battery, plus a little of the second battery. I have no qualms with how long the batteries last on a full charge.
The mower cuts well and is easy to use. I like that the control levers are on both sides, so you can control it with your left or right hand.
Charging time is minimal. I have mine set so that the receptacle turns off two hours after I turn it on. This prevents overcharging.
Now the less than excellent points.
There is no way to turn the headlight on or off. It comes on when it thinks it needs to and shuts off when it thinks it is not needed. Bad design. I would prefer a switch. It switches on and off when it is getting dark but isn't really needed, as I move in and out of the remaining sunlight.
There is no way to tell the mower which battery to use first. I numbered my batteries and rotate them into the left position, so they both get (roughly) the same amount of use. I would prefer to always put them in the same position and flip a switch to tell the mower which battery to use first.
Now the bad points.
The speed of the mower varies as the battery discharges. They should have it configured to always be the same speed.
When the first battery is discharged, the second battery takes over, as designed. However, this means that the mower jumps to a faster speed (both cutting and moving). If you aren't ready for this you can easily be pulled off balance.
Replacement battery cost is way out of line. Greenworks price gouges you for replacement batteries. Either buy OEM batteries from a reseller or consider third party batteries.
Finally, be wary of warranty service. I have not used it on this item, but I did, or at least tried to, on another item. Greenworks refused to honor the warranty, because they said that (based on when I bought it) the warranty had changed. ALL of the documentation indicated the warranty should still have been in effect. They said that I bought "old stock."
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wow! Best mower ever!

This is the best lawnmower I have ever used! It’s light weight, quiet and can be pushed or self propelled. The most incredible aspect is that it doesn’t overheat and quit like a gas powered mower. The battery lasted long enough to complete the job! This has cut my mowing time by a third and has improved my language and lowered my blood pressure

Mows great, needs wider wheels

Good specs and performance! Wide deck cuts time and twin blades works great! Just wish they made the wheels a bit wider, it lays down the grass and you lose about an inch each side.
