[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2.5 years of ownership and still going strong! Really a fan of this mower, it's easy to use, mows my entire 3/4 acre without having to stop halfway through to recharge, and does an excellent job mowing. That said, if I had to do it all over again I'd get the 22" Dual Port mower. The reason? The 25" dual blade means the deck is only 12 inches or so deep. When mowing, any weed that shot up above that just gets pushed over and you have to back up over it to get it. It wouldn't be a problem if my yard was some fancy grass that didn't have wildflowers and weeds in it, but I live in Northern Michigan and my yard is just a yard with all those things in it. Still, an excellent mower!
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Effective, Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, here's a short and punchy review for the Greenworks 25-inch 60V mower, incorporating the battery compatibility point:
Greenworks 25-inch 60V Mower: A Must-Have!
As a Mount Dora resident, I needed a powerful mower to handle our thick Florida grass, and the Greenworks 25-inch 60V self-propelled model absolutely delivers. The 25-inch deck saves so much time, and it cuts thick turf effortlessly, leaving a clean, even finish every time.
But the real game-changer? It uses my existing Greenworks 60V batteries! This seamless compatibility with my other tools is incredibly convenient and cost-effective. It's surprisingly quiet, powerful, and the battery life easily handles my yard. If you're looking for an efficient, powerful, and wonderfully quiet electric mower that works with your Greenworks 60V tools, look no further. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 25” lawnmower about 2 years ago. I still love the mower. The batteries last all the way through mowing my yard and my neighbors yard too. Greenworks is a very good equipment. I just bought the 60v leaf blower.

Best Mower Ive Ever Owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for over 3 years. I use it just about every week. It works great. I can cut my 1/4 acre lot no problem on the (2) 4ah batteries. I even have battery life to spare to use with my string trimmer and leaf blower. The only time this has a problem is when the grass is super long (12” or higher) and wet (I live in the PNW). Not having to store fuel and do all the maintenance that goes along with that. Being able to fold the handle down and store it upright when not in use is so convenient and was a huge reason I bought this. I am very happy with the 60v Pro lineup, and continue to add more tools (most OPT) as I need them. The combo kits with the batteries are the best bang for buck (you can never have too many batteries), but I have bought a couple tool only.

Great adjustability, quiet, variable speed control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got my mower and I love it. The variable speed control lets me choose the walking speed that I want to move at. The mower's height adjustment lets me adjust the cut height in 7 settings. The two batteries means longer runtime and the turbo kicks in when you get into heavier grass. I just love it. No oil, no gas, no loud noise. Super easy to operate.

Not sturdy, breaks easily
on May 7, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sturdy enough if you want a mower for mowing several yards and each yard has thick heavy grass. When I first purchased the mower, I thought it was a great product only to find out that the plastic gears break easily and I am on my third set of replacement gears. I have decided that the mower just does not have the power to cut thick heavy grass without breaking the gears. Am looking at other battery powered units from different manufacturers to see which one best fits my lawn care needs
Pros: Quiet
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
Response from greenworkstools.comBy GreenworksMay 8, 2025
Hello plymdusterblue74

We are happy to hear you have reached out to us and that our support team was able to assist you with this issue. Gears can fracture under excessive force, especially if the mower is used improperly (e.g., making sharp turns while the drive system is engaged). If the mower gets stuck in thick grass or debris, it might strain the gears beyond their capacity. Ensure you're not forcing the mower into situations where the gears are likely to be strained (e.g., rough terrain, dense weeds).
You mentioned the gears had been replaced. If the gears are not installed correctly or properly tightened, it can cause them to slip or break under stress. If you are replacing the gears, follow the instructions carefully and ensure they are properly tightened. We hope these troubleshooting tips help.
